Default BASSANI Exhaust SOUND CLIP - HR

THANKS DEWUSER!!! for recording and editing!!!

The engine is all stock other than this exhaust. Stock cats are on.

In the first start-up, the mic clips a bit - I guarantee it's not raspy at all.

Listen with good headphones or with a subwoofer - hear the BASS!

Excuse the last start-up clips with the camera mounted on the rear. It turns out that when the exhaust gets really hot, the muffler vibrates against the aluminum main brace behind the bumper and it really clipped the mic input signal. I called Rob @ zcar garage and he's gonne make some adjustments today.

EDIT: Rob's guys adjusted the exhaust today and it is perfect. No contact anywhere - even when hot. Call rob @ zcargarage - he has these in stock. I have not listened to my radio in weeks - I'd rather hear the exhaust . You will NOT be disappointed/EDIT

I am TOTALLY addicted to the sound!!! Friggin Sexy-time!!! oh, and it's not quite as loud as it seems here. Definitely louder than stock, but still very pleasant. No Droning while driving. Just perfect!

Hehe - Bassani on a 350z - Mustang owners are turning in their graves somewhere

Enjoy!

+1, this is what I needed. The Gains are pretty good, not what the initial reports state, but pretty good. The sound is exactly what I'm looking for.

Have you heard the Nismo in person? I wasn't impressed, and there are like no performance gains.

Yes I've heard it in person. The reason I'm reconsidering the Nismo is because it sounds a little too quiet for my taste. And I don't want to drop $1k and not be satisfied with the Nismo. So I'm checking out the Bassani but I don't know...they both sound good. Bassani is louder...

Yeah, The Bassani is a bit louder then the Nismo, has a better sound (IMO) and has gains across the entire power band (Nismo just gives a little gain up top). The Basani really pops and burbles under deceleration and between gear shifts - I LOVE that! What's not to love?

I wounder what that would sound like with berk metalic HFCs. That is the only thing stopping me from swapping my nismo out for this. The nismo is loud with HFCs and it would probable make this exhaust too loud.

I dunno, but I'd sure like to. swap it out and let me know . I can handle a bit of loudness, but rasp would kill it for me

Bill,

Congratulations on your being one of the first Z's in Norcal with the Bassani Exhaust.

I'm very specific about the right exhaust sound, balanced with everyday driving volumes.

Here is my take of what I experienced during our record session.

- During normal driving the exhaust note is tuned and manageable.
- Drive it spiritedly and you are rewarded with a deep growl, sure to make you smile.

Enjoy.

I must say, you were 100% correct with your explanations on how it sounds. This exhaust is by far the best tone I think I've heard yet. Not to mention the gains across the entire power band are truely what proves this exhaust will beat out a Nismo (in sound and performance). Thank you very much for all the work with this, it has definitely given Bassani a new customer! Cheers!

Search around. They are on eBay for under $1000 shipped. I also found a website (have to look it up again) that sells it $955 shipped. I plan on ordering from there next week.

Thank you for providing the equipment for use! I can tell the camera is definitely alot better than most for quality! I was so excited to hear sound clips and it definitely lived up to what I thought it would!!

Also, a note worth adding: For under $1000 shipped you really can't beat this exhaust. Other exhausts at this price range (take Nismo for example) are not worth the money due to power and design (in comparison). Not to mention, this is a true dual which the Nismo is not. From research I've done the X pipe could definitely help sustain the great tone after other mods that normally make is raspy, such as HFCs.

Great job guys!

well i planned on buying this exhaust and now i'm dead set on it. this is by far the best sounding exhaust for the 350z hands down. these japanese manufacturers better beware.

p.s. thanks for those vids. they're perfect.

From all my research there are only two guys on the boards with this exhaust (unless they haven't posted in any of the three or four Bassani threads). Both guys have an HR...

This was my curiosity b/c I have an 05. I would imagine that the numbers gained on my car will be right around the same percentage equivalent as the HR gains. Regardless, the gains are very consistent like stated before and the sound is just sooooo damn sexy. I really believe this is the best sounding exhaust for our cars. Personal opinion of course.
