to be honest tho you really shouldnt base what youre buying on solely what you hear online. The sound online could be way different in person. I had heard countless clips of the Nismo exhaust online. When i received it, it didnt sound quite like i thought it was going to.

 

Ordered mine tonight

The warehouse is only about 15 minutes from my house, so I should have it tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll put it on Wednesday or Thursday. Will have pics and videos up. However, I go on vacation the 19th and won't return until the 24th.

I ended up ordering from AllExhaust.com. I spoke with Craig a few times about simple questions I had and ended up talking to him for about 15 minutes. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by the service and just laid back atmosphere.

Craig was telling me he would definitely be interested in running any GB for certain exhausts (definitely Borla), however, he can't do any lower on the Bassani. He said he hardly gets any mark up on the Bassani b/c of the cost from Bassani themselves. However, he said to get in touch with him and if possible gauge interest on a GB on other exhausts and he would be more than happy to run one on here.

He also mentioned that Bassani only releases a certain number of exhausts per year. Because of this, he ends up becoming back ordered with no idea of when they will get them in. Regardless, he said it has been quite awhile since they've had the Bassani in and now they have 6 available (minus my order tonight, 5).

I must also mention, that after talking to him for awhile we were talking about my Z (he went out of his way to ask whats done to it) and he told me he has a G35 GReddy TT setup. Says he is an avid fan of the Z/G's and has heard the Bassani in person, says it's amazing.

I was kinda pissed to see that gsingh350z posted the place where they offered $900 shipped 20 minutes after I spent $955. In all honesty though, I'm glad I dealt with this company, they seem real down to earth and he said any problems during install to please call and they will walk me through it (even though I'm sure I'll be fine). I don't mind spending an extra $55 for quality customer service.

That sounds awesome. Very ballsy for a V6. If I didn't know that the Z *only* had 300 HP, I wouldn't mess with that sound haha. Very nice!

Nismo or Bassani. I have wanted a Nismo for a while though, due to the fact that it is a little more subdued, and it's a factory piece. If I sell, I can almost recoup the price. But damn the Bassani sounds so money!!!

 

Hey guys! Great news... I got the Bassani on my 05 last night!! It sounds amazing.

I am soo thoroughly impressed with the sound! hiz-n-herz you were right 100% in all your descriptions and sound clips. It actually surprised me at how close the sound clips really are to the real life sound!

The sound between this and the Nismo is close yet very different. I was torn between this and the Nismo and I'm so glad I went with this. Granted the Nismo is (like said) a little more subdued, although this sounds soo sick at different loads. The popping, gurgling and overall deeper tone in comparison to the Nismo is what I was truly after and I got it with this exhaust!

I took two videos with my digital camera so the sound quality is relatively poor in comparison to hiz-n-herz. However, I will host one of them on YouTube just to give you guys an idea and another sound clip!! I'll be borrowing my friends HD equipment when I get back from vacation so I will have more then.

hiz-n-herz: I wanted to thank you again for the original sound clips and video. You sold me on this exhaust with that video and I'm really damn glad you did haha!

Yeah I definitely would if I were you! That website I ordered from (AllExhaust.com) had a warehouse really close to my house. Got it in two days! If you would buy from them, call and see how far away it would come from.

I must say... it was a bit*h to put on the car. It's nice because everything is independent and the pipes slip over each other and then attach with separate connectors. However... each piece then needs to be lined up and held tight... ugh I hope I don't have to do another one. Not having a lift makes it a hell of alot harder though... though having two other guys helping me really was alot nicer!

 

i wish everyone made exhaust sound clips like you. You got everything i've ever wanted in an exhaust sound clip. Rev, inside the car, outside, drive by. Nice.

EDIT: Also, in the videos, this exhaust sounds way different than my nismo..
