hiz-n-herz: I wanted to thank you again for the original sound clips and video. You sold me on this exhaust with that video and I'm really damn glad you did haha!
Hey, glad I could help... Dewuser here on the forums was the one with the nice camera equipment. He did the filming and editing with all his own hardware. I just drove and told him what types of clips I was trying to get - parked revs, inside car windows down, outside drive-by's. I knew everyone would ask me for these different clips. I would have wanted all the same clips if I was exhaust shopping.

I am considering getting my own digital camcorder. I'd love to do this again if I get HFC's.

There is actually a little drone - with a passenger and when slightly lugging the engine at 1800-2000RPMs in 5th or 6th going up a slight incline. Other than that, drone is non-existent. I just never drive that slowly so it took a few weeks to encounter it. I got behind some slow traffic on a road trip and it manifested itself.

Really, it's trivial, but I worry if I went with HFC's it might be more pronounced. Maybe I'll try it in the next few months.

THIS EXHAUST STILL PUTS A GRIN ON MY FACE EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT!!!!! SWEEEET!!!

No... Just pure exhaust sex!

No rasp, no clicking (even during cool down!), no rattling.

I took mine back to z-car garage once it was on for a while and had them re-adjust it. It wound up hitting the aluminum bumper cross-member after a hard work-out when it gets really hot (It grows like 1/4 inch in length! when it's hot!). They made some adjustments (no questions asked) and there is not no rubbing whatsoever now.

I did probably 100 miles of fun-runs today and zero issues. Could not be happier.

Wow. this dual exhaust sounds very nice. This thread is making me even harder to make a choice on a new exhaust for my vq35hr.
Not to steal this bassani thread. But what do you think of this sound. aam single exhaust with ti tip. Sounds somewhat similar. But sounds really good as well.

A little more than 1000 shipped. no rasp. even with test-pipes or hfcs. decision...decision..decision. single or dual....

I was debating between the Borla or this Bassani, and I think this has pushed me towards the Bassani, definitely.

I'm not going to order till I have enough for HFC's and the exhaust however.

I know all these sites say it's for an 06, but I assume it will fit an 07 no problem as well.

hiz-n-herz: I know you said you had issues with the pipe rubbing and creating a vibration once the exhaust heats up. I noticed last night at higher RPMs (3k-5k) I can hear a slight vibration. I don't know how loud it is outside the car and I can barely hear it unless I'm trying to... however, I would like to know possibly where yours caused a problem, at least I have something to start looking at haha! Thanks!

By the way... it's been about two + weeks with the exhaust and I still can't get enough of it!!

The only place the exhaust can really touch any parts of the car is above the rear strut bar, and on the "aluminum bumper" that was refered to before (jagged V shaped thing). I also had the exact same rattle. All you have to do is make sure there is some clearance between the aluminum bumper (right and left midpipe) and rear strut (right midpipe). After I installed mine, the midpipes were basicly resting on the aluminum bumper, and when it got hot, the joints would shrink and the pipes would flex/move a little more. This created the rattle. So I had to re-lift the car, losten four clamps, turn/push up the pipes as far as i could, and re-tightened the clamps. rattle go bye bye. Save yourself the trouble and make sure the clearance is there on the midpipes so you dont have to go back under a second time.

Thanks for your help! I'm lifting the car soon to change the trans and rear diff fluids so I was planning on double checking all the bolts and hitting them again just to make sure they haven't loosened up. I suppose that gives me incentive to change the fluids now...

You're from Boise? A friend of mine (for pretty much my whole life) lives in Nampa... drives a pretty nice tC (just a shame it's not fast lol)

Is the install pretty smooth? Back when I had my Camaro, I went through 3 different exhausts which were all slip-on, pain in the *** to install, even with a rubber mallet.

It wasnt too hard. The hardest part was the muffler area, getting the old one out, and the new ones in. Getting the new ones in was very hard and took a lot of pushing, shuving, kicking, heel palming, and cussing etc. Once I got the double muffler in, the fitment was perfect. The problem was that the mufflers hit the bottom of the bumper before the angle lined up for the pipes to go together. In order to get the muffler in there, you have to have the pipes lined up so they can slip into the fittings. This was a catch 22. Finally, it went in. Not sure if something could have been done different to avoid this, not that I could see anyway.

I don't think I could have explained this part of the install any better myself. It seems as if I had the exact same problem. Royal pain in the ***, but once you get them up there... it's not bad at all.

thanks, I laid on my back an stared at that BS for probably two hours . The payoff was well worth it though, even though I almost had to cab it to work in the am

I liked the Bassani so much that I ordered one last week from allexhaust.com, and I don't even have a Z yet! Problem is, I got an email from them stating that my order is canceled because they are out of stock and don't know when they are getting more and I haven't found anywhere else to purchase it from
