opinion on turboxs exhausts
hey guys. ive had my stock exhaust for a while now. got my coilovers, wheels, and all on. and now time for the exhaust
what do you guys think of the turboxs exhaust (without test pipes). is it just another cheap exhaust?
i was planning on spending like $1,200 on an exhaust at first...because i wanted a true dual. but is it really gonna matter between the true dual and a regular catback? i wont be going f.i.
but ya, if you guyss can throw ur opinions that'd be great. thx
here's the z now...its come along real well over the year. once i got it, i just wanted to get the wheels and suspension out of the way first. so next of course is time for an exhaust. this summer ill be working the engine mods.

Check out the Fast Intentions Intimidator. Unsurpassed quality and sound, best bang for your buck IMO.

No need for a true dual. If you like the sound of the TurboXS from videos you've seen, it is no doubt the best bang for the buck. Use the $700 you'll save to buy something else for the car.

- Like the sound
- Or you want an all-out track performance car.
I was planning to get an intimidator as well. Great exhaust, great quality and amazing sound...especially after hearing inperson. Planning on picking up a TXS however, just because I can't deny it being less than half the price. That's a good chunk of money saved, or spent elsewhere on the car. However, you definitely can't go wrong with intimidator either.

turboxs seems to be getting more and more popular here lately, i cant tell from videos but is there some "rasp" from this exhaust (not paired with test pipes). cant ever tell if thats whats causing it.
also, any one know power gains?

Bottom-line is that since the OP seems to not have any major plans for his engine, I think a true-dual would be overkill unless of course he wants a specific sound offered from a true-dual.
i just got mine installed at mrc last week and i love it. Im going from a invidia n1 to a turboxs though so its a big sound difference. i used to like the deep drone sound but not when the exhaust is 5ft in back of you lol. plus the turboxs is kinda deep under low load and when you really push it, it sounds AMAZING!!

so my question again, am i gonna get the same gains from a single exhaust from a TD exhaust? i know the gain is not much, but i try putting only the best on my z.

I have absolutley no rasp due to F.I.'s in corporation of a Magnaflow resonated X-pipe on their systems, this is also the reason why this is one of the only true duals that retains that sweet VQ rumble due to the mixture of exhaust gas pulses in the x-pipe allowing for the growl of all 6 cylynders firing out of each muffler. Rather than the dual angry 3 cylnder sound some true duals give out.
i want an exhaust for the summer for sure.
