Default Popcharger with a AT

I want to buy an intake for my 04' Z, and I was searching these forums for peoples opinions on them. It seems most like the Popcharger, but those same people complain about their MT car stalling at high speeds in neutral with it installed.

I have an AT though, so would I have any issues? I was looking at Fujita, K&N, and Stillen. It seems these all provide basically the same results (little, to no gain in HP, but a somewhat better sound), although it seems that the Popcharger provides the best sound out of all of them.

I just don't want to get a popcharger though if its going to create more issues than its worth.

Any issues with a popcharger and an AT? If so, what other intake provides a nice little throaty sound?

I have no clue why you'd put an AT in neutral at high speeds...

IMO I don't see why there would EVER be any problem with the Popcharger. It's just an air filter, nothing more. I've got one and I love it. If people are dropping their cars into neutral at high speeds, it ain't the Popcharger causing the problems.

Thanks guys.

Just ordered the Pop-Charger for my AT.

I guess its just MT owners that have issues with it.

Heatsoak is what keeps me from buying one +1, summer is coming...

...and from what Ive read, the neutral stalling ONLY happens on cars with pop chargers... (treefiddy)

I heard that I should disconnect the negative on the battery while putting it on. Then reconnect it after its installed. Any truth to that?

Just think about it.

What does an air filter have anything to do with the battery?

ok, I'm not an idiot.

I was told to reset the battery for the ECU. I was told that some peoples ECU's were messed up after installing certain types of intakes, and they had to reset their computer. So, on this board.. people were saying its just easier to keep the neg terminal off as you put it on, and then put it back on.

lol, acutally i had to do this with my prelude. The extra air-flow made the idel run real high, i had to reset the ECU (pull battery cable) to adjust it. But a firend of mine just drove around with his a few days and the computer fixed itself

no, the type of transmission has nothing to do with the intake of air.
