Yeah and this **** is getting worse. I took it back and the installer said there was nothign he could do because it was a bolt on. the least he could have done is put it on the lift considering that I paid 150 dollars to have it put on..

I hate lazy *** mechanics...

Yup, exactly what Jeffie7 said. Get under it, loosten some bolts, push it up, tighten bolts, done. Getting it lifted will be harder than fixing the rattle man. I would still try to make the shop do it though if it were me and I paid them to install it. Talk to a manager. Tell em you just want it lifted and adjusted, and that it can be adjusted (retards!).

My Bassani rattled also before I adjusted it.

i would just jack it up myself and make sure everything is tight and none of the piping is hitting anything. When i first installed it, the rattling was coming from one of the mounting plates for the exhaust hanger. i just loosened both plates and retightened them equally. That also solved the problem of one canister lower than the other

Wait, so the rubbet mount is bolted to the body. Is this what you are saying to push up on and retighten?

if you look above the hanger you can see a mounting plate with 3 bolts where a rod is coming out of. your exhaust rubber hanger goes through that rod. that same style rod is on your exhaust canister which goes thru the other side of the rubber hanger. im talking about loosen all 3 nuts on both hangers and retighten them so the plate is equally tight all around. lol if im confusing you give me a call man. pm me if you lost my number

so do the roads in new jersey cause a greater amount of corrosion/rust? my Z had 60K on it when I installed new exhaust, i mean the bolts were tough to break loose, but not so bad that they broke off or were rusted through. i know the east coast is supposedly notorious for rusted cars or whatever... how many miles are on your Z phreak?

No, the exhaust it's self doesn't have perfect holes, they should be oval, this gives you some room to slide the exhaust 1/4" or so. loosen 2 nuts on each side of the mid pipe then push up on it and tighten it, or maybe pull down, depending on what its hitting.

I never had to touch any of my hangers adjustment wise.

jeffie, wouldn't that offset the outlet/inlet? or is it just enough so that it does not really affect it? It's klnda annoying that I was overcharged to get it done and they could care less about me being satisfied. Oh well hindsight is 20/20...
