my girlfriend just picked up an '08 grand touring Z. she's been a Z lover for ages and since her birthday is coming soon, I'd like to pick up an intake for her since she missess the 'throaty' sound. (and maybe she'll return the throaty favor. har har har)

I looked at the sticky thread for the best intake, but i don't think it makes any distinction between the VQ35HR and the DE.

Would the pop charger setup still be the generally preferred intake?

 

The pop charger works as good as the others.

 

the stock with k&n panel filter is the PREFERRED intake, as far as performance, as all the aftermarket's have shown losses. there is a CAI that may or may not have been released yet and supposedly makes power. check out the HR section 2 above the intake/exhaust section for better info

 

yeah i would just hold off to see if the injen true cai realy works and from what ive been reading it actually does.... im just waiting on some more independent dynos

 

yeah. patience right now is definitely going to be beneficial
