Default Looking to sponsor Y-Pipe!

I am looking to sponsor someone on a y-pipe at my purchase price! the sponsoree will obtain this hand welded y-pipe at my cost.

The conditions are that they must have a stock 350z with NO modifications. They must perform a baseline dyno and a post dyno upon installation.

The sound alone is sweet. You can ask anyone that came to the CT meet with 73 + Z cars.

This y-pipe is tig welded and incorporates two hi-flow Magnaflow cats.

You will not be dissapointed. Check out these photos.

Yes. sorry, i meant a 350Z with no modifications.

The dyno will be done in nj and the install will be in nj as well. I am shooting to meet the sponsoree this saturday at like 9am to do the base dyno, install the y-pipe, and do another run.

Would you guys prefer the sponsoree to drive 500 miles before dynoing? I am going to sell you this community, so you tell me what you want as proof.

Thanks,

Matt

Whatup matt,

Does "at my cost" mean free ? Or at what it cost you ?

Anyway, I had my dual borla's put on @ Acosta.. so I'm assuming a Y-Pipe isn't compatible with that, eh ? >_<

If not, how about you sponsor me for a supercharger or Turbo ?

Matt, check your pm. I'm the guy that went down to Acosta a couple of months ago to do this...the dyno was unavailable at that time. I'm still interested. Please shoot me an email with the details of what you propose in your sponsorship. I am an avid local autocrosser, and I also instruct for HPDE events in the area. J_Ritt44@yahoo.com. I am available on Sat. morning. I live about 30-40 minutes from Acosta. Thanks.

any idea when this will be released and at what price?

what company will this be under?

in your unbias opinion, does it sound any less exotic? or in other words, does it still sounds like stock. it is not too loud is it?

Ok. getting a stock 350Z and dyno logistics for pre/post dyno, and making sure the customer in fact wants the y-pipe afterwards, and having the restriction of being local to me, so i can oversee the process to ensure success, is too difficult.

So here is the NEW Sponsorship! The Y-Pipe will sell for $800 + Shipping. Estimated shipping from me to Los Angeles is $50.

The person I sponsor get's this y-pipe for $450! thats more than 40% off.

In return, the sponsoree is responsible for the following

- pre and post dyno and must be same day. So I prefer you install at a race shop that has a working dyno.

- write up review of me as a vendor and the product on this thread

- post the dyno chart on this thread

- the sponsoree must have absolutely NO modifications. Not even a grounding kit or intake

- You must call me and let me know when and where you chose to install/dyno. I will call that shop and ask the owner if you are confirmed for the installation/dyno pulls.

You are getting hand made, tig welded, stainless steel y-pipes and two hi-flow Magnaflow brand, catalytic convertors that will pass emmissions.

The shop that custom makes this is Acosta Racing. I am not allowed to give out their number with the new policies, but they build race cars that run on the NHRA circuit. If you dont know what NHRA is, its the cars that have parachutes and sub 7 second 1/4 miles. Here is their NHRA profile...
http://www.nhraimport.com/2003/drivers/M_Acosta.html

So there you have it. the sponsoree is getting the Y-Pipe cheaper than my own wholesale cost.

If you are local, and want to hear my y-pipe, i will be at Acosta Racing this Saturday tuning my nitrous setup and installing my jwt pop charger.

If you never heard of Magnaflow for the cats, check out www.magnaflow.com

Please email me at matt350z@yahoo.com.

Its pretty loud. actually loud isnt the word. And i cant compare it to other cars. its unique. I wont let anyone else drive my baby so i cant say i know what it sounds like from a pedestrian perspective.

But as the driver, it sounds like 5.1 dolby digital surround, whereas before you only heard from behind you!

I look for underpasses and tunnels cuz it just sounds "SONIC"

Thats the perfect word for it. Listen, i was at the CT meet and I was asking a 550 Maranello owner if the ferrari 308 is a good ferrari to get as weekend car. once he heard my car, he was stunned!

Ask anyone who left to the CT Limerock Meet, from Ft totten. Everyone was asking me what kind of setup i had.

I dont even listen to my radio anymore. But keep in mind I also have the GHL motorsport catback exhaust.

I also forgot to mention weight. You are savig at least 80 pounds from the stock pipes with these.

Just to make sure you guys are informed customers, here is a photo of the fujitsubo y-pipe, that you can buy right now for $450 retail.

the photo compare my unit and what is included, to the stock version and the fujitsubo version.

Look at the angles of air flow. I think mine is more free flowing and you also get the tig welded pieces that connect to the down pipes from headers, and Magnaflow cats.

Free flowing to me means = larger piping diameter and minimal sharp angles for change of air flow direction.

But i need a sponsoree to dyno this sucker!

My Z is all stock except for a grounding kit. How much do the dyno runs go and do you know of a shop in the chicago suburbs? I would love to have that on my Z......

Hey vfr350,

here is a dyno locator: http://www.dynojet.com/lauto.shtml

The cost should be between $100-150 per dyno session. If you want to be sponsored please call around today and look for a shop that is capable of installing the bolt on Y-Pipe and doing pre/post dynos.

Please let me know once this is done, then I will send you a PayPal invoice for $450. But i need you to publically accept these terms so that everyone in this community can watch this process.

Shipping the y-pipes with cat will cost no more than $50 to you in Chicago.

Also, no vendor inquiries please. This product has been on my car for months and we have not been able to sell to public because no one listens to me when i say the 350Z community will not buy a perf prod that is not proven.

I do not want to sponsor someone who is or will be a potential vendor due to conflict of interest to the consumer.

I sincerely hope all involved understands.

I cannot provide install or dyno. And the unit must be hand made upon ordering and delivered to you. If i install and dyno it with the manufacturer, then people may think something was modified for better results.

I want this to happen at a dyno/installer you choose.

If you paypal me the $450, I will have the y-pipe made for you by Saturday, but i have to receive payment no later than today for Saturday pickup. You can pick up from there or ship to you. Then pre post dyno must be at same location, location of your choice.
