What's the price on the VQ exhaust (as a y-pipe back) shipped? Is it also offered without the titanium tips (I don't like the torched tips)? Also, do you happen to have dynos of this particular model?

do you have pricing info on it? I'll check the site later when it's posted. I JUST got my system, and I am really enjoying it, but if its in the same ballpark I might just sell it and snag that.

I have dynos but not against a stock exhaust. I did all my development work with test pipes because that is the configuration I expect it will most often be used with.

I'll make sure plenty of independant dynos are done though.

As for the tips, they can be done in colorfull Ti, plain Ti or even stainless.
Which do you prefer?

The VQ will list for $1250.

For a short time it will be introduced with a special where it also includes the Shockwave axleback section so you effectively have two entirely different sounding exhaust systems for the price of one, and also free shipping in the lower 48 states.

This "two exhaust system" package offers all the fun of the Shockwave and the easy cruisability of VQ.

Switching from one to the other is as simple as turning one V-band bolt.

I have test pipes and a y-pipe with an otherwise stock exhaust system. I'd like the stainless the best and it'll probably the cheapest too. However, the main reason I've not fully decided is because I only want the exhaust for when I drag race, which means that I'll most likely race in both N/A and with nitrous.

OK. So you would use the VQ for daily driving and the Shockwave for racing with nitrous?

I'm not exactly sure how/what I'd use. I do need something that flows well for nitrous applications, though.

Yes.

I may even put them on the website as an accessory.

Any of these exhausts will do well with N2O, but for racing the Shockwave is the way to go for maximum performance and minimum weight.

The Shockwave is good for HP and TQ that goes well beyond what N2O will ever do.

Tony,

I know you mentioned before that there will me no spacer available for the HR cause there was no space, but WOULD it have helped and how much power would it have added? would there be interest with some of the guys and gals out there buy a separate aftermarket hood (if that was the issue, or maybe its the strut tower bar? or both?) for the sake of a spacer if it added enough solid power?

Would a spacer be available for the G37?

thanks again for the amazing products!

Unfortunatly a spacer is not possible on the HR or VHR plenum. Unlike the prior generations 2 piece design, the newer plenums are made of a single piece of plastic and its not possible to open it up without sawing it in half.

It would be a messy, destructive process and probably wouldn't make a gain anyways.

I think Nissan learned from their past mistake.

if you need a show of interest if that would be worth while - I would be interested as well. I think I could get that fabbed onto my current set up and be pretty damn happy.

i think they are going to offer the harikiri muffler option for the single
system-alternate look from the shockwave.

go back to page 1 of this thread, it shows a pic with the muffler and
the tip side by side(looks sorta loke agency power muffler gold/purple/blue
style canister) it is not out yet but those were preproduction pics but
after seeing the vq muffler on the page before this one the tips on it
are exactly the same as the one in that pic.
