Just installed my Xyz yesterday, was very impressed with the quality of it and welds.I have a stock exhaust right now with Kinetix's Hfc's and now the Xyz. It sounds pretty good with stock, made the exhaust a little quieter at idle but when u get going u could hear a more deep tone. Sounds real nice to me for now till i get a single.
Here some pics of it installed on my z.

^Almost there on dual 3".
-
The XYZ outlet is 3".
The stock midpipe inlet is 2.5"
And based on 350zDex's description of sound, I have to agree. I've found that smaller diameter pipes generally make for a brighter riceyer sound.
Larger diameters generally make for a louder but mellower sound and have a greater tendancy to drone.
The primaries on the XYZ are larger than the stock Y pipe.

XYZ with Shockwave , test pipes and headers. I have no rasp under normal throttle conditions , and slight rasp under heavy load in the wrong gear.

Well i got to hear my car today out on the track. I was at a PCA event and i let a good friend take it out for a few laps. HOLY SIHT it sounds bad ******* azz, i was watching from mid straight at the point where the car is shifter into 5th. Truly amazing, even the Porsche owners liked the way it sounded.
