well I have a bone stock 04' roadster, before this I had a 300zx, there's an incredible amount of difference between the Z32 and the Z33.. for a long time I thought i would keep my z stock but now im thinking I wanna toy with it a bit..
for the last few weeks I have been doing extensive research on catback systems.. I had my heart set on the bassani system but now for some reason im not sure.. the borla sounds real good too as well as the nismo.. its hard to get a good idea from youtube videos.. I dont understand why everytone likes the greddy and hks systems? they sound so ricey, maybe they sound diff in person i dont know, but to each their own..
I guess everyone says they want a good system thats not too loud but not too soft and they want good gains.. everyone has seen that sportcompact vid of the bassani dyno, it looks all good but im afraid thats more of an advertisement plus i have read of fitment issues as far as the exhaust banging against suspension components-altho the reports gains of 20plus ft. pounds of torque and 12-15 hp is amazing....I really cant make up my mind, the systems for the z's are soo pricey so i gotta get it right the first time...
I came across this on EBAY and im not one to cheap out but the thing that really caught my attention was the sound, theres a few utube vids and it sounds really deep and clean, not raspy or anything like that... and plus the price is insane... its not a true dual system but it is SS so what do you guys think?.. if this system has been discussed b4 I apologize.. I'm brand new to this forum but not nissan forums..
please tell me your opinions and if anyone has this let me know! thanks
Rick

I have a similar rationale about exhausts as you do. I think that's just a replica of the TopSpeed exhaust. You should look into the HKS Hi Power replica. You can buy it off of eBay from a seller named CXLighting. I think they call their replica the "Dual Path Hi Power Exhaust" or something like that. I purchased and installed it and I've been really impressed with the quality, performance, and exhaust note. Overall, it's a great buy and an incredible bang-for-the-buck. You should research it a little.

The 3" SRS system the OP is referring to is the nismo knock-off that ebay and everyone else (intensepower, hopupracing, megan racing, etc) is selling.
Not saying it's a bad thing, as I am considering this exhaust.
No moving parts = knock off is a viable option (intercooler, exhaust, etc)
Moving parts = knock off is not such a good idea (turbos, bov, coilovers)
The knockoff debate has been beaten to death on virtually every forum for the last 10 years (some forums earlier than others).

hey thats great, thank you friend.... i actaully found the exact same 2 vids... it SEEMS these are the only really good 2 vids of this exhaust.. and theres another one with the guy driving in his car but u cant really tell how it sounds... yea it does sound good but im wondering, and I Know this has been discussed, but is 3" too much for N/A?.. im concerned with the sound but also very much the gains.. i need to have atleast a few hp extra.... i also cant seem to decide whether or not true dual really matters that much
