Well, there are a couple ways to do it...
I used my digital video camera and then transferred the video to my computer via Firewire. Imported the audio/video files into Adobe Premiere and then just exported the audio only as a WAV. After that I converted the WAV file to an MP3 using dbPowerAMP. <whew!>
An easier(?) way to do it would be if you have a laptop to just plug in a microphone and use the Windows Sound Recorder to record the sound. It will save it as a WAV file and then just convert it to an MP3 with dbPowerAMP (shareware).
I'm sure that there might be easier ways to do it, but those are the 2 ways I can think of off the top of my head.
Originally posted by goblin I'm close...I have it in WAV format but it won't export for me. I'm using a canon digi and Video Impressions program that came with it...any help?
dbPowerAMP is what I use to convert between formats (it goes both ways). Just click the link and download it and install it. It creates a menu option when you right click on audio files that says "convert" then just select the format you want to convert to. It's quick and easy. Let me know if that helps.
