Default HKS flex pipe has rubbed through!!!:icon31:

So I was at the block of orange, About to go over a speed and realized my car was WAY to low! All of a sudden someone pulls behind me and I cant reverse and now theres a line of 6 cars all honking!!!! So I had to just bare with it, I dragged the whole frame and exhaust over the bump and ruined the whole flex pipe! Any ideas on where to get a new mid pipe or flexpipes? Any advice or help would be awesome!

Any exhaust shop should be able to get them and install them for you. National Speed can probably get them. They're a site vendor. Not sure who else. Ebay?

sorry to bump this old thread, but over time the flex pipes on my HKS dual high power have worn through.. due to speed-bumps and some inclines into parking lots

as of now the flex pipe has worn down past the braided metal, onto the internals of it, and i have a feeling it is going to break through soon. any suggestions?

*what size flex pipe do i need? i want it to retain it's original look for the most part

It's been 6 months since you failed on a speedbump and you never fixed this problem? Get to Midas for a fix that should have been done a long time ago!

unless there is a leak, there should be no problem. the flex pipe braided part is just cover the metal underneath. same thing wiht my nismo, but i never get any leaks.

My flex pipe is done for. I'm hearing this weird "brrroomm" sound and it just sounds like crap. Anyone know what size the flex pipe should be so I can find a replacement part?

^Exactly- also, the outside diameter (OD) of the braided section may vary depending on who built the flex pipe.
