I drove my Z to work during the Hurricane. (I drive 78 miles EACH way from Eastern PA to Northern NJ) I had ZERO problems with my INJEN CAI...

IF you search the forums, you will see that I emailed INJEN directly and asked this very same question. The funny thing was I got an answer from the TECH department that said something like... no problem in the rain or small puddles, just don't submerge the CAI. A few hours later I received an answer from the SALES department stating a whole bunch of legal, "INJEN is not responsible for any water that my be injested by the CAI, it is recommended you remove the CAI in wet weather"

I'm glad everyone is on the same page over there at INJEN...

You will most likely ONLY suck water if you submerge the whole filter, normal rain driving shouldn't hurt.

I've washed my car several times with no problems at all--it's not sucking any air in when the car is off.

AEM bypass will not work with Injen intake. Victor is right, you should not worry about rain- only puddles that can completely submerge the filter.

I hope that nobody washes their car while the engine is running. And aims hose right at CAI. But you never know in this crazy world.

on most cars, an AEM BPV can be made to fit other companies intakes, but cutting of the pipes is involved.

As for rain, ive had a CAI I made myself on my stealth and I dont have a Bypass valve. Best thing to do is not run high RPM's through big puddles. see a big puddle? coast through it. Works best for me.

My friend had a civic that he hydro locked. It took about 8 inches of standing water and 5500 RPM to do it though.
