I just recieved my Crawford *BLING* Plenum and installed it tonight according to the directions on Crawfords site. (BTW- Doug @ Crawford is a super nice guy and IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE! -Excellent service-)
After installed the plenum I started her up and it started to run a bit rough. After a minute or two a LOUD high pitch whistle started coming from the plenum (or around the plenum). I mean really really loud, like theres a leak and air is being sucked in somewhere making a really really loud whistle.
HELP!
Anyone experiece this?
WTF is going on here.
Ive checked all the hoses and reseated some. Checked all the bolts and they are tight. Dont want to tighten tooo much afraid they will break.
The car still runs really rough and seems at times its going to stall so i tried not to run it too long.
PLEASE HELP!
Any you Crawford guys out there?

Is it possible a gasket may have sprung a leak??
It sounds like a vacuum hose is off or something.
Oh, how much did it cost you? I'm considering the same mod.

Might be the gasket but its a thin peice of hard plastic or something like that, so its not broken or crimped in any way. And its not the hoses i triple checked.
And the cost that I payed is on the hush...its supposedly one of there first *test* Bling plenums.
Any other suggestions?

Ok...put the old plenum back on and she's purring just fine now...
Found out where the whistle was coming from, it was in the front of the plenum which i was not able to seat flush on the lower plenum..the whistle was in fact an air leak..
Going to call Doug at Crawford tomorrow morning.

The same happened to me, Solution get a new gasket and apply gasket sealant there is one that is made out of copper get that one. Your leak would probably be on your left hand side opposite to the oil cap.
I talk to doug and he sent me a new gasket, very nice of him solved the problem car runs great.
