Injen CAI- No Growl?
Hey guys,
This thread might seem really wierd/paranoid but I have to post anyway.
I installed the Injen Dual CAI for the HR motor about 6 months ago.
Is it just me, or do the intakes make no growl?
I've seen videos of them installed and at WOT, they seem to make a very loud growl but for some reason on my Z, I hear almost nothing.
Please tell me I'm being paranoid or just flame away.

My JWT growls like a BEAST at wot on my DE.
I would say dont worry about it. Does it bother you?

Sort of does bother me only because every other video I've seen of the Injen CAI, it is very loud.
Leads me to believe mine was installed incorrectly or something.

Its pretty hard to fack it up on install. You should have done it yourself. Just make sure the clamps are tight and nothing is loose.
All it is is tubes connected by rubber fittings with clamps to tighten fittings around tubes, and filter connected the same way. There really isnt much more that can go wrong with the intake buddy.

Oiled filters. And no kittens, birds, dogs, baby rabbits or any other animals.

No connections are loose. They never made any growl so it cant be the oil. And again, no kittens.
Guess I'll just live with the no bite.

Apparently Stillen is better for sound since mine makes no sound haha.
Seriously, for the HR motor, the Injen CAI has proven the best results power wise.

your intakes are fine. They dont make noise unless you are at wot. If you trust someone with your car let them drive it and stand outside and watch your car go by. you will hear your intakes when there close to redline

Hmm maybe you're right. But even in the cabin at WOT, I haven't heard any growl.
