Default Just got exhaust.. Is this normal?

I got the Bassani exhaust, and now is I'm driving and say I downshift, to 2nd and slow down and take off, if I let my rpm hit 1200, and I hit the gas, the car will bog/hesitate and shake sort of. What could cause this? Is this normal since more air flow? Please get back to me. Btw I have a 07

Put back your stock exhaust and see if this still happens. It can't be a pain in the *** to put on as the greddy evo-tt.

only thing it will void is the exhaust part of the warranty. If they cant prove that ur aftermarket parts damaged ur vehicle then they cant deny service or a warranty claim. I honestly dont know what it is. Iv installed i think 13 exhaust now and never have run into the problem.

Second gear idle pull... I would imagine that would bog pretty bad. And just a touch of advice... DON'T bog the motor too much. It loads the bearings and leads to damaging them.

Sorry I can't check against my own right now but I'm pretty sure that would bog, shake and rattle.

It usually occurs on HR's with test pipes/HFCs although I can't remember if I have ever heard it happening with just a catback. When I had a stock exhaust with test pipes, I would get a bad hesitation at about 2500-3k rpm if I went WOT in any gear except first. There is plenty of info in the HR forum about the test pipe/HFC issue, maybe you can find something about a catback causing it

Any CELs? Try a full ECU reset to see if that will help any.

i know mine was bogging down really badly with test pipes. it should get better as time progresses, or reset the ecu. as long as there's no ses light, you should be ok

Not that the Z can't handle it, but doesn't 1200 rpm seem alittle low to be driving in gear at? If the OP is at that rpm in 2nd, perhaps he needs to be in 1st instead...

RPMs are too low. I'm sure your next reply will be "but it never used to do this before, I've always shifted/driven like this". That's because your new exhaust has changed the powerband a bit, and your torque curve has been altered, so you likely have less power in that RPM range now, but more of it past 1500RPMs, likely.
