Gruppe M Carbon intake installed
i dyno'd the car with the veilside exhaust and the gruppe m intake. this dyno was new and i am not 100% feeling like this was acurate. it was also a mustange dyno which is different. i have never dyno'd on one before. these dynos are meant for tunning instead of getting HP numbers. they are said to be 15% off from a normal dyno.
my numbers were 251hp @wheels
and then i ran the 1/4 on the dyno (which was wayyyy tooo funn)
and i ran a 13.3 @106
if this HP number seems low...let me know.
thanks,
john

Hopefully will get over there this weekend for a test.
Next up will be the ground wires and crank pulley - gets a bit expensive at $100 a pop to go for each individual mod
What do you all suggest for the dyno? Should be do the intake as a standalone mod, or consolidate it with either the pulley and/or ground wires. If done as astandalone, we would probably then do the pulley and ground wires together as one dynoed mod
Let us know before I book the appt
thanks

any chance you have the done the dyno. looking to see before and after hp gains for just the intake.. thanks
We decided not to bother just dynoing the intake due to time constraints. Doing it after every mod just take too long. Since this time, I have added a brand new Apex'i exhaust (not the N1, its one of the newer J spec ones), and will likely install the crank pulley as well, then redyno (of course at teh same palce we always use).
any way you can measure the amount of pressure inside that carbon bulb? it would be really interesting to compare that with the stock air box's pressure while driving..
i think Crawford did a test with the stock air box and found that highway speed driving actually pressurized the stock air box to like 0.2psi or something.. i forget what he told me...
does the Gruppe M have a velocity stack?

Cheston - I for one am not drillinginto it to find how much pressure it runs
I really could care less to be honest - it madea difference up top, over 4500 rpm, where the car needs it most IMHO. Also, do you think that the .2 psi is there before it enters the TB? I (personally) doubt it.
