What are you going to be dynoing spacer and mrev2?

The REVUP "plenum" is better for higher rpm models but with the penalty of torque loss in the midrange hence the reason why MD has the MREV2 which is an upgraded non-REVUP "plenum". This is why i wanted to dyno compare the results between them. If you notice the REVUP engine has a higher redline and lower TQ numbers (not the only reason bu but one of them).

The REVUP "engine" does come with EVTC which will make tuning better for breather mods and the larger cams will make the car breath better when more air is there.

No just the spacer bc mrev2 is worthless on a DE. I just don't care what gains ur motor shows bc of ur parts and it's a rev up. I think there are more DE owners then rev up but whatever

Default VQ lower intake manifold

VQ lower intake manifolds dont line up when switching between rev-up and DE engines, rev-up LIM is about 1/2 larger for each runner circumfrince, therfore making plenum changes useless... revup plunum on DE LIM choked down
DE plenum on revup LIM, air expands and slows down when transistioning between parts, of course you can portmatch... common on domestics... also HR plenums dont line up, head spacing is so far off (increased deck height)

+1 2004black305z ^

Regardless, for the sake of many, please get a DE engine in there!

There are countless dynos of nearly every plenum mod on the non-revup posted in this forum and with few exclusions, there is no question they work on a non-revup engine.

There is even independent testing of the MREV2 on the non-revup:
https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...5-touring.html

https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...hp-engine.html

Otherwise, I only know of one independent dyno test of a spacer on a revup.

well after the last couple threads iv seen I wanted to help out vendors and forum members with non bias dynos. That's fine though I got skunk2 sending me one and I'll work on AAM tomorrow and try with intense. But it's cool Tony people have posted results. Bias or unbiasis u never know

the intake ports are different on each variant of VQ and have a variant of lower intake manifolds to match, look at the differnce between 03-05.5 vq lower intake manifold and rev-up lower manifold.... that is where the power gain is...

You know, there is a dyno test you could help out on.

Do you have access to a thermocouple with readout? Or some way of measuring or logging plenum temperatures while on the street or on the dyno?
