the previous owner lost the silencer so I don't have it. I'm actually looking to buy the silencer because the sound is really a tad too loud for me since i'm stuck in traffic 2 hours a day for my work commute

so if you want to sell me your silencer PM me!

Default Greddy Ti-c Exhaust

Hey all,

Just installing the Greddy Ti-C True Dual exhaust on my 08 350z NISMO.

Pretty easy install so far.

So I have this Black Plate, Two different sized hoses with fittings and a small piece of heat wrap? I have no idea where these go?

I could see maybe putting the heat wrap around the hoses now exposed where the canister cover used to be (rear passenger), but thats about it.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

K

Sounds like EVAP relocation. Did the exhaust come with instructions?

Yeah, you are correct. Thanks. Those would be the parts for the EVAP relocation.

Now I have like a good 2" between EVAP in its original location and passenger muffler. Do I need to relocate?

People tell of throwing codes if not relocated.....Ill do some more reasearch on this,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hey man I just got mine installed yesterday but on an 05! I love it haha but I also have those 2 black piping things didn't know what they were for as long as the heat wrap! Oh well? My suggestion to you is if you want silencers put em in before its on because the top 2 screws are a pain to get out when the exhaust is all snug and bolted in.

The Greddy Evo2 came with an EVAP relocator as well, it consisted of a black "H" bracket, a couple hoses and heat wrap. It was used to relocate the canister from under the passenger rear fender/bumper to under the trunk area to avoid heat exposure from the muffler:

That black plate bolts to the factory heat sheild above the stock muffler. I didn't relocate because I didn't have any clearance issues and already have a heat sheild protecting it on the passenger side.

I did have to take the cover off to get the muffle to fit right. Now there is a 2" between the hoses and the muffler. Just wanna make sure i will be ok like that with no melting of hoses!!

I think if I wrap those hoses where they are exposed with the provided heat shield, I should be safe.

One other note, did any of you relocate the ground wire or just by a longer one? In theory the exhaust is connected all the way to the motor which is grounded, thus the exhaust should be grounded already?

Correct. I just removed that wire completely from the frame.

This is what I decided to do. I'll monitor it to make sure the heat doesn't affect it.

Not yet, hope to this winter.

Bought the Turbo Ti-c Exhaust, so now I have no choice

Still pondering between Greddy and GTM.

Hey All,

So I have had the Greddy Turbo Ti-c on for about a week now, 200 miles or so. Love the sound (with those stupid a$$ silencers removed).

I got underneath to double check my heat shielding around the EVAP hoses, everything looks fine, even a hard romp for a good 15 minutes, the hoses don't get all that warm.

What I have noticed is the drivers side pipe, where it goes beside the diff, seems to be rubbing on the "little horn". What I mean by little horn is on the front side of the diff, on each side there is a small, extension of metal. (pic are inlcuded)

I seem to be rubbing there......has anyone else installed a TD Exhaust and had any clearance issues around the diff? I'm gonna get it up this weekend to re-tighten everything and figure either I try and re-adjust the exhaust, which seems perfect everywhere but that one point, or I grind down the horn....

Suggestions?

Thx,

K

I just installed the GReddy Turbo Ti-c TD. I know not exactly the same....but.....with the silencers in, it was almost quieter than stock until wot. It will be drastically quieter with the silencers.

My EVO2 hits in the same place... My fix was to loosen all the flange bolts on the catback so there was some play, pull the pipe away from the diff and wedge something about 1/2" thick in-between the pipe and diff. Then tighten all the flanges bolts up and hammer out whatever you used as a spacer. This may not allow the exhaust flanges to sit 100% even but it made enough clearance that the exhaust doesn't constantly rattle against the diff. Only time it "dings" is over pot holes or train tracks.

i did mine, but i don't remember having any rubbing issues around the diff. i have very little clearance just like in your pic but i do notice a light scratch mark that's hard to notice on the piping whenever i bottom out.

Glad to hear you like it. I love mine as well, but the only thing that bothers me about the exhaust is the resonator...it hangs lower than the rest of the exhaust and scrapes everywhere if youre lowered.
