they stopped making it nearly 3 years ago, your only option will be used

there are no 'chips' for cars anymore - tuning is done via separate boxes (Haltech, UTEC, etc), or reflashing the stock ecu.

I was looking into this also...the only difference between the Evo2 and Ti-C is the canisters at the exits right?

I had the evo2 years ago on my 06' Z. The only problem is the resonator on the x-pipe, it creates a nasty baffling & scavenging of the exhaust when you introduce test pipes in the combination.

The only solution is to remove the resonator.

actually it does by about 1/4 inch. Trust me, with Redline Time Attack last year we had ride height restrictions and had to install my stock Y pipe for a race till i got my suspension sorted out. The motordyne pipe is well worth it.

Default Greddy Ti-C Single exit review

I recently picked up an used Greddy Ti-C single canister from one of the forum members here. Personally i'm not a big fan of single exhausts on the Z but the price was good and I felt that the Greddy was a quality piece that will hold me over until i feel like springing for a motordyne

Installation took about 2 hours...working in a cramped car port with a floor jack FTL. I probably could have done this in 30 min or less if I had the car up on a lift.

Fitment is perfect, lines up nicely to the bumper and plenty of clearance for the piping.

The butt dyno didn't detect any power gains or performance difference. Realistically I didn't expect much if any difference to begin with, I got an aftermarket exhaust mainly for the sound

On to the important part - The Sound!

This exhaust is louder then I expected, it's not too loud or anything but it has a really deep booming sound. If you guys have heard Greddy exhausts before then you know what I am talking about. The sound is almost too perfect...too artificial...too manufactured. I would have preferred a little more rawness to it.

0-2.5k RPM - a really deep booming bass, there is a quite a bit of drone around this range but it's not unbearable

2.5k-4k RPM - the sound becomes higher pitched and you can hear a bit of the stock VQ sound with a little bit of gurggle/whirling

4k+ RPM - the sound becomes even higher pitched and has a nice scream to it.

I actually think this exhaust sounds louder at lower RPMs then it does at WOT. Probably because the deeper sound at lower RPMs has much more rumbling.

Overall, i'd say this is a pretty nice exhaust. The construction is top notch, the fitment is great, and the sound is around a B/B+

Nice write up. I was looking around the forums earlier for a good write up on the single exit, but you really have to go looking and piece together the information. What other exhausts were you considering before you bought the GReddy? just curious.

Thanks for taking the time. I'm still up in the air between this and the Fujitsubo.

I looked at quite a few exhausts before getting the greddy. And to be honest a big factor in my decision was being able to get it for 400 bucks used in good condition.

Here are some of the exhausts i looked and the biggest factor in why i decided against them

Tanabe concept G - I like N1 canisters but these cans are too short and ugly

Invidia N1 - same as above...since they look the same

greddy spectrum elite - too quiet...and expensive for just a muffler

invidia gemini - apparently the tips stick far out from the bumper?

agency power single - looks nice but too loud

various true duals...HKS/Greddy/etc...realistically i just dismissed anything in the 1200+ range since if i was going to spend that much i would go with the motordyne

nismo/fujitsubo - too stock looking and just a tad too quiet

there are a lot of exhausts out there...many of them look similar...sound similar...are priced similar...best way to decide is to go to a meet or car show and check it out in person

those sound clips on youtube don't really give you the full picture on how it sounds in real life

With a $400 budget, it's near impossible to find a dual exhaust, used, in good condition. Actually, $400 for the Ti-C is a pretty good price if it's in good condition. I was quoted a little for $800 new for the Ti-C, shipped to Hawaii. From the sound clips I heard of the Ti-C, it sounded really, really nice. At least now you have something to hold you over till you can afford another exhaust that's A+/A+.

Yup, you can't get much for 400 dollars. I've seen some exhausts like the nismo in the 500-600 range used. But I'm still planning to get the Motordyne later down the line so this was a good option for me.

I'm sure the shipping to HI is killer but normally you can probably get the Ti-C single shipped for around 650.

Did you leave the silencer in or remove it? I have never had mine in so I don't know if there would be a big difference or not in the sound
