I'm interested in getting some Kinetix high flow cats and can get them at a very low cost of their website. I've been told they are very good and Kinetix told me they are "ceramic" (use a ceramic substrate as opposed to metal) which I seem to remember has not quite as good as flow rate as a metal high flow cat. I've done a lot of searching on this but cannot find an answer. Which high flow cat flows the best, metal or ceramic ones - do they have the same "cell" rating?
I know the main difference between metal cats and ceramic is the noise (metal are noisier) but wasn't sure if one was more effective performance wise or if there is not much difference in it really.
Thanks for any help and info.

I always hear the Metallic flow better. ![dunno](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
I have Berks Metallic Substrate. Not sure what the Cell count is. I would guess 300.
From Berk Technology:
"Metallic substrate offers higher flow and lighter weight"
Metallic On the Left. Ceramic on the Right.

Make ur choice on cell #s, not on what type of material used. Although I'm not sure if this is the "be all, end all" because it appears that the cells could be different sizes. Despite that, I'm going to conclude that a cat with less cells will flow better because there are larger filter openings, thus letting more air through.
