Default HiTech exhaust Fitted!!!!!!!!!!!

This was posted on the aussie site but you guys may be interested.

Well I just got back from fitting the Hi-Tech.

IT IS THE BEST THING I'VE DONE TO THE CAR!!!

No shadow of a doubt - the KW are dramatically up. I get slip in gears I never got it before and the sound.....well lets just say Nissan should listen. It is everything the car should have been and wasn’t. The engine is smooth, the power is there in spades and the sound....did I mention the sound? Well it is awesome.

Take it from me the Hi-Tech is every thing and more I expected. It took about 45 minites to install and fitted almost perfectly. We had to jiggle it a bit and bend a few hangers but that was it.

If anyone in the states is interested it cost about $1200 US.

Figures quoted are a gain of 21 to 24 KW (about 27 to 30 HP). there has been a lot of bisbelief at this but they are true - if the jump in performance in my car this morning is a quide. the improvement is truly awesum.

Dont forget that their car cames with less horses out of the box and probably has more restricted breathing than our Z. Ill tell you right now that there is NO WAY you will be seeing 27-30 from any exhaust on our Z.

28hp-32hp gains with a cat back? Impossible, it's almost 40hp at the crank... wtf

Well I've just been out again....it just gets better. I suspect that it is true the US cars won't get the same gains as your exhausts are less restrcitive but there is no hard data on that. Whatever you get it wil be worth it.

HiTech are very good on design and research - all I can say is my car is transformed.

One thing the gains I mentioned are at the flywheel - most are getting 14 to 15 KW at the wheel. Still good tho. Soon as I get used to this I'll have to think of something else to do. I remember the first time I drove the car - I was blown away. You get used to the performance and then look for something new to do. I'm glad I waited 6 months to do this - people who mod the cars from day 1 won't have much to look forward to.....
