Great to hear. I am definately interested, and possibly could do some dyno testing against either stock cats or straight test pipes.

No offense there guys, I am just thinking if HR is a better motor, with Tony's rocket science back ground and skills, his ART pipe should be able to do more with the HR. But then again, I don't dis the DE engine that is why I say either "as good" or better

I mean, HR comes out 4-5 years after the DE, there is got to be some improvement right? just a thought, but totally no offense

I haven't seen a HR Z that was faster than me at the drag strip. AutoX is a diff story, though.

Hopefully, Tony doesn't produce ART pipes that yield monster gains for the HR guys. Let us DE guys catch up a little, you guys already got the better engine to start with.

Also, for those constantly asking about HR pipes... seriously? Tony won't just go AWOL; I guarantee you that (his track record on our forum speaks volumes). Let him do his thing and he'll let ALL of us know when they're ready. Stop asking, please.

Has anyone seen a pipe with my name on it?

But seriously crazy low end torque gains! I usually don't go for test pipes even on FI cars because of low end torque loss, but this product seems to defy logic.

The ART pipes are now back in stock $585. The first set sold out fast!

If any one has an idea or proposal for a comparative pre/post dyno test please let me know.

What test configuration did you want to see?

Well, Maybe swapping out the y-pipe as well. I have an HR Y-pipe and Berk HFC's.

Im interested in squeezing out some more hp without losing torque(pretty respectable currently)

Im considering both the ART Pipes and XYZ pipe but paired with a non-md/ non-true dual exhaust.

Hi Tony, may I ask a few question please;
1. Is $585 for non-polished or is this not an option anymore?
2. A number of people have commented on the exhaust smell after installing the ART pipes. I will assume this is becuase of the removal of the cats. What is the smell like if the XYZ pipe was fitted with the cat?
3. Wth the combo in 2. is/has there been any noticable drone in the cabin when crusing at 60mph. (I barely note any with a Nismo cat-back).
4. Has the ART/XYZ w cat been/or going to be emission tested? (I note you comment that ART pipes themselves will not pass emissions)

I have read many (and skimmed others) of the ART related threads but there has been no concrete answers to the above. Apologies if these have been answered in detail somewhere I didn't read throughly.

Additionally, I note from your comments that there will also be no rasp with the ART/XYZ pipe with Nismo y-back config already.

Cheers,

Cheers,
1) Its not an option any more but the last production run was accidentally polished but the price is still still be reduced to $585. So while supplies last, the ART pipes will be polished at the unpolished price.

2) It could be a combination of things. One, the new pipes have mandrel bending grease in them and it will take a little time to burn out the grease. Two: Yes, they will smell just like conventional test pipes no matter how many miles are put on them.

3) The ART pipes reduce drone but drone is more a function of the catback exhaust system. Some exhausts will drone with stock cats, some won't drone with test pipes. So drone is primarily determined by the catback. In any case, the ART pipes will make it a lot quieter.

4) No, it will not be emission tested. Even though it may be likely to pass the sniffer test, these parts cannot be made CARB legal. Legally, the stock catalytic converters cannot be removed.

Tony, thanks for your replies. Does this comment also refer to people with a XYZ pipe with the attached cat?
