Thanks! The driveability is way different. I ran two autoxs this weekend, and the added power coming out of turns was obvious. I believe the pulleys do help, but I bought the car with them so don't have anything to baseline it against. Heatsoak of the K&N is the concern Z Car Garage has on my set up, so we'll make the change soon and see for sure.

Yeah, I make pretty good power with my few mods minus the intake on Tony's suggestion that intakes rob power from heatsoak in his testing.

That being the case I still want to add a popcharger and see if i gan a few horses or not.
Note: For the pop charger, with its heat shield, heat soak is only a issue at launch or at low speed.

The heat soak effect disappears after the first ~10 of WOT and med/high speed.

Don't know if this a repost or not, but there is a review of the art pipes on a non-rev and rev-up Z in I think import tuner. I read it while in the airport yesterday nice review between ART pipes and shockwave against stock, test pipes and another exhaust.

On the bottom of the cover it asks if resonance tuning makes power low and behold they were talking about the MD ART pipes.

According to that review you can expect big gains going from stock to full MD exhaust.

I haven't yet seen a comparison swapping HFC's for ART pipes. I would love to see the difference. Im also considering the xyz w/resonator.

Yes. A dyno comparison of your current setup against the ART pipes in combination with the XYZ HFC.

That would make a good dyno comparison.

EDIT: I can send you the XYZ HFC for free if you can do the dyno comparison.

Tony, what effect does the hfc attachement have vs either the straight pipe or resonator attached to the xyz when combined w/ART pipes? Is it only for emissions testing?

The XYZ HFC reduces the sound, smell and soot usually associated with test pipes. It is not CARB legal though.

Stock cats are about the only thing that is CARB legal.

The only issue is that I have headers now. I plan to do a dyno and track (drag) comparison. I will also do pulls untuned with the art pipes then get retuned the same day. Are the unpolished available now?

I would like to be one of the first people to have a dynotune with these ART pipes for my turbo kit. Here are my list of mods for my 2003 Nissan 350z:

Turbonetics Turbo Kit w/o cat
Amuse R1 Titan Exhaust
JIC Y-Pipe
Helix V2 Test Pipes
ART Pipes (Soon to be purchased when in stock)
Motordyne 1/2" Copper Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer
Motordyne MREV2
Crawford Headers (Jet Hot Coated)
Unorthodox Ultra Racing SS Pulleys

Send me a PM so we can setup a date and time.
