Have you had a rev-up car (05' anniversary) with a supercharger set-up with the ART pipes yet? If not, I know someone who may be interested and was curious if a discount would apply! Cheers!

Not yet. What would it be compared against?

If compared against cats, the cats will win that comparison because superchargers clearly need some backpressure for optimum performance.

NA and turbo engines however do not.

Fair enough. That car has wrecked a set of high-flow cats due to recent, heavy, track usage, so the owner and I were talking about getting something with some higher flow. I don't know if they were a metal or ceramic core though. What would you recommend?

Check this out.

+30 HP by installing the XYZ HFC on a vortec Z: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...g-results.html

And the XYZ HFC will be able to endure more track punishment because the HFC is moved away from the engine where exhaust gasses will cool down by about 500'F by the time it reaches the converter.

I just had these installed on my HKS True Dual and they sound nice. There is a small rattle when I go over bigger bumps, nothing too big at all really, I'm just wondering if this is common.

Yes.
Everyone be sure to trim that stud hanging down when installing the ART pipes. A cutoff wheel on a air die grinder takes about 2 seconds and its gone.

Just to be sure... this is only the drivers side bolt that needs to be shaved, not the passenger side correct?

Just got a set installed on my 08. Power is great, I'm very happy with them.

One problem I'm having though is a rattle on thr drivers side. It sounds like the pipe is hitting the heat shield, but I'm not sure exactly. The rattle is significantly louder when the engine is cold, though it never goes away completely. It also only occurs at around 1.5k-2k rpms, all other ranges are fine. I did trim the bolt as it described in the instructions.

After installing and turning the car on for the first time I noticed that there seemed to be excess vibration with the drivers side pipe. I'm wondering if the pipe is slightly out of alignment, so I'm going to loosen and retighten the bolts connecting to the y-pipe and hope that fixes it. I may also take off the heat shield. Is it bad to remove the heat shield? Anything else that could be causing the rattle?

I'm also running the stock catback, by the way.

The fiberglass in them needs ~1500 miles to break in. It may simply be rasp that you are hearing. There will be some rasp when they are connected to the stock exhaust.

Give it some time (1500 miles) and let me know what you find.

Could the rasp sound like a little metal ball rattling inside one of the hemholtz chambers under light throttle from 1800-2500rpm?

No. There is nothing in them to blow out. ART pipes are blow out proof.
