Hahaha, yes. Since your exhaust is now less restrictive, you're getting more beautiful tones the VQ has to offer.

no that is definitely not it.

When I had the tdx2 paired with hfc, it sounded cleaner to me.

Dont get me wrong, i like the tone of the tdx2 with art pipes more as its deeper and has more burble. But that metallicy flutter sounds annoying. I'm guessing this is what RASP sounds like. in the higher RPMs there is alot more of that metallic fluttering as compared to with hfc

You'll hear more of the engine sound with a wide open system, cats are very muffling, think a raw V8 mustang on the drag strip Vs a more road oriented version.

Also, you'll only get a marginal rasp on full throttle from just over 4 and up, if you're getting something weird below that, you've got a leak, a touching piece of the system, anything, you just gotta find it.

it could possibly be a leak

when I ordered the art pipes it only came with 2 gaskets i believe..the gaskets connecting the art pipes to he pipe...I'm pretty sure these would be fine

however the gasket connecting the art pipes to the headers were re-used....

when installing art pipes (HR) you have to remove the cat. brace...the art pipes dont come with the brace to connect the brace back...so im a little worried about stress cracks on my art pipes or exhaust...or would i be fine?

thank you

I believe MD developed a V2 of the ART pipes which included that tab. My original V1 pipes doesn't have it either.

Yep, no problem here. Been running them for about 3yrs now. MD is really good at covering their parts as well so if something were to happen such as stress cracks they'd replace it.

Similar question, for those of you that have scraped or bottomed out with these, do they just crack and you get them welded and good as new, or does something break inside? I lightly scraped on my driveway, it was the resonator, hangs a bit lower than I was used to
