The 2nd chart, at 4300RPM - 5500RPM there is a wide space between between one set of lines and another set of lines. The top-most lines, I assume are the ART lines and the bottom lines are likely test pipes. If I'm correct, then the power throughout the curve on the ART Pipes is much wider than the test pipes.

Edit: Hmmm, it really is hard to read. But those power gains may actually be from the plenum variations. The ART Pipes make a notable gain in the low-end and have a higher peak, while sharing a similar curve as test pipes. I really wish this was a more direct ART Pipes & Stock Plenum vs. Z1 Pipes & Stock Plenum test.

Problem with the 06' airbox (and it does not apply to most) is the size of the velocity stack. It is the same size as the inlet to the factory maf housing. For the very few who run larger maf housings....the stock air box is a restriction. Of course you could bastardize the box, and stuff a 80mm velocity stack in there. Last I heard Scott was moving to the larger maf housing. That's probably his reason. With a little know-how you can always make a box for the pop charger....it just may not be as aesthetically pleasing as OEM.

It virtually is. The 5th gear runs, 4 plots grouped together, then another 4 with less power grouped together. The difference in those 2 groups is the plenum. The rest I'd say is too close to call, except in the 2800-3300 range, where the ART pipes are clearly higher.

Default Dyno Charts Revised

We are getting the dyno sheets with fewer per sheet soon. I will post as soon as I get them from Chris.

Arnold I see now what you are referring to. Looking at the 03 plenum (Z1 vs. ART), there is small margin of increase way up top and then way down low for the ART pipes over the Z1 pipes. For the revup plenum however, ART pipes take a large increase in power through out. Revup plenum robs a lot of potential power, which what OP concludes. I understand now thanks!

This is all on the 4th gear pulls (chart 1).

03 plenum plus z1 pipes might cost less than sticking with the revup plenum and buying the ART pipes. Which is my case I guess.

We will re-tune Clarks race car and tune mine after motordyne shockwave v2 exhaust install. I would guess it will be mid or late june.

What I get out of this is that your first mod on a Z should be the plenum, as it's clearly a notable bottleneck that prevents gaining additional power with exhaust mods like TPs and ART Pipes. Very interesting comparison.
