How loud is the tdx2 in the cabin, compared to stock, cruising at 80? No test pipes, or hfcs, just stock cats. Hard to find any reviews of this without art pipes .

Really like the sound of this exhaust, and want something louder than stock, but don't want to have to make myself hoarse talking to someone in the car, while cruising on the interstate.

It's completely fine, actually. I'd say it's pretty much perfect - even with ART Pipes. Throwing on stock cats would make it even less obtrusive. Only when you add headers does it start to push that limit, so I wouldn't worry at all about cabin noise with a setup like that.

That's sort of the beauty of those resonance chambers in the axle-back section - they eliminate any of the drone that would otherwise make you struggle to hear things while cruising. It'll scream when you get on it, but it's entirely civilized when you want it to be.

On Motordyne's new site it doesn't show the TDX2 for the 350z. Are they not selling those any more?

Is there a plan for the new website to keep items showing on the products pages, but just have a temp out of stock notice for when this happens?

For those that installed the TDX2, did you guys have any clearance issues with that M Brace and/or stock rear sway bar?

I didn't, really. At first, when it was hooked up, I thought we were going to have some problems with the clearance, but the design of the exhaust makes it very adjustable (moreso than most other exhausts, honestly). A quick adjustment in one section, and it all fit perfectly. So if anyone does have problems with clearance, I'd probably chalk it up to a bit of user error.

Default Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 Exhaust Only

In my garage. Watch in 1080p or 720p for better audio (I think).

The later TDX models have resonance chambers with rounded ends, and also have "Motordyne" etched into them.

QUestion to the vendor.. know of anyone FI ( single turbo would be even better) that runs this? And possibly runs your larger piping size?

My clutch and my exhaust will be the huge limiting factors on my build.. headers into a reduced downpipe into a reverse Y into an HKS copy set up on a 18k engine build is pretty stupid IMHO.. but i cant find sound clips ANYWHERE on an FI car.. looks sick tho..

anyone got a vid or a name of someone rocking FI Shockwave duals?

edit--just talked to Tony over the ph after drinking far too much coffee today haha... me? Talk someones ear off? NEVER!

Thanks Tony.. i appreciate the input and will most certainly be crowning my car w your parts soon.. besides..i think this is a far better idea than buying a spare set of wheels that i dont really need.. i will of course post vids when it happens.. becuase of course.. pics or it DIDNT happen.
