Thumbs up Better Exhaust Gasket - New product found (to me)

I was researching awhile back and found this company that does exhaust gaskets. This was after looking at the cheapish, little thin metal thing Nissan provides for the exhaust gasket. I was sold on the Remflex PR. I've used it before, on a previous build, and thought I should share. The gasket works great and I'm putting another set on my current '08. Check out the pics and look at the comparison with the stock stuff. Chime in with your thoughts and comments.

I've heard of folks having some issues with the stock gasket. Not many, but some. I can see why once you look at it. Not on this Z but another I worked on, you can see where the exhaust was almost escaping or did escape/bypassed the stock stuff, (you can see the exhaust staining on the gasket). This aftermarket gasket is indeed serious stuff. The telling thing would to check it out after a few thousand miles and compare it with the stock gasket.

Yeah, not as 'elegant' looking as the stock. But thick, burly and dark. It's heavier due to being graphite and not the light metal that the stock gasket is made of.

Stock metal gaskets are usually spring steel, and crush after the first installation, so they may not seal right once they are re-used.

The problem with most exhaust systems is they only have two stress points on a spring metal gasket. Check the APS 2.5'' exhaust for a proper method to mount pipes, or V-band clamp or tri-clover clamps. Those will never leak at all due to the mounting method.

Here's their home page:

http://www.remflex.com/index.htm

I paid $150.00 for 4 sets of gaskets. I also think it was at some premium due to them having to make these first time. Hopefully it's more competitive today. The part number is in the picture above. BTW - I'm not part of this company or know these guys. I'm very satisfied with these, thus why I wanted to share here.

Tried it again, that part number RF15-006 does not exist, not on thier website or anywhere? The only gasket they show for Nissan is for 3.0L 300ZX.
Did you but them directly from Remflex or a dealer?

Bought directly from Remflex. I was the prototype for these gaskets. I sent them the stock gaskets and they made great new ones from the graphite material they use. Call Remflex, they should be able to hook you up!
