Default Little help with the direction I want to go

Afternoon. Here's everyone's fav question: "Help me decide"
J/K
A little background. 03 Touring PPW. Kinetix Racing V+ Plenum w/ JWT PopCharger. I'm wanting to hit my vehicles exhaust up next but am trying to find the right path for what I want to accomplish. I want a stealthy system, without raspiness. I've seen the great debate between no back-pressure/need back-pressure, but the bottom line is that I want something that is going to allow my little beast to breathe freely without sounding like it has asthma! This is the set-up I've looked at so far: Stillen 304 SS Headers, debating on high-flow cats as I'm trying to avoid rasp, Tanabe Y-Pipe followed by the Tanabe Medallion.

I'm going to keep this Z NA all the way and just want to best gains in deep sound, WHP and apperance. Any advice would be help since this is my first project Z. Thx in advance!

Moved...

Once you complete your exhaust phase, get a tune, or all those bolt-ons will have been a waste. You will see nice gains with bolt-ons and a tune...

I've already had the tune after the addition of the bolt-ons. We have the EXTREME fotune that our 350z of Houston Club includes the GTR Master Tech at a local dealership. Coolest guy in town HANDS DOWN and hooked me up with great a tune to accomidate the extra airflow. I know a tune will also be needed to accomidate the new outflow as well once this project is completed. I'll check on the Fujitsubo. Is it true dual or no?

Check the APS out. Dunno what you meant by stealthy, but visually, it looks pretty similar to stock. Also sounds similar, but deeper and louder. There's a few vids on youtube, one I can think of has kinetix hfc's on it, and sounds really deep, but he never really gets on it. I only get a little rasp from mine at higher rpms when I'm really on it. Either way, might be something to check out.

That is true but He's looking for something that isnt going to make his ears bleed, nothing comes to a Fuji when it comes to that. I'm sure he cant feel the 5hp you may loose by not having a true dual exhaust.

whatever exhaust and headers you choose you should definitely consider hfc's since they don't generate rasp...well mine don't

I agree, I hear everyone say this about the Fujitsubo and it's on my list of things to buy. It was between that and the Tanabe Medallion (like you want) so I think you might want to check it out too. I've always thought the Fujitsubo had an "exotica" sound

Short tube headers are generally not worth the price of admission. If you want headers at least go for a long tube set. We've seen fair gains from even cheap long tube headers when tuned for them.

You say that you already have a tune, by a Nissan Master tech, was this done using Osiris or another tuning software? Because the tweaks that can be made via the Nissan systems are not going to produce the same results that a true performance oriented tune can.

This was a simple re-tune with the Nissan System. It helped the idle and smoothed out the Fuel-to-Air ratio but that's about it. I want to hold off of spending the money on a performance tune until I have this installed front to back. I'll be going with an Osiris tune with UPREV here once everything is in place and leak free ;-). I'll look into the long-tube headers as well. Thx for the input ppl!
