Default Cel light on from test pipes delete code?

I have an 06 Z and I went the test pipes route and bought the O2 fix for my test pipes, but my cel light still came about 200 miles after install. Is the only way to get the light off to have the code deleted? I talked to Nissan and they said they couldn't do it so who and how can I get the CEL off??

you can either drive around for a while, so that the vehicle resets the code itself(might take a while) or just go to autozone or a mechanic or something, they have devices that read and disable codes.

Quoted from another site:

Manual Method
Here is a quick way to reset your ECU. It is also known to clear codes thrown, and turn off the "Service Engine Soon" Light. It's a little tricky, but works.

1.Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch and wait 3 seconds.
2.Repeat the following two procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds:
1.Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2.Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3.Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4.Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5.Wait about 10 seconds.
6.Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7.Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8.Turn ignition switch to OFF position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.

sorry for being a little late, but if you do this will the cel light come on if there is actually a real need to service the engine other than the emission problem?

Yes the light will probably return once you start driving again. Unless you fix the source of the problem (sensor, air leak, etc.) the CEL will remain. Get a obd2 scanner and see what code comes up so you know exactly what you're dealing with
