Default Revert ECU to factory settings?

I recently got a uprev tune up, and i am not happy with it

Is there a way to revert the ECU back to factory settings? Kinda like undoing the tune up?

Yes, you re-upload the original stock ROM UpRev provides for you when they start the whole tuning process. Why aren't you happy with the tune? You should contact UpRev to rectify the issue, they are very nice people there.

Is that the only way? ._. I don't think i have the original stock ROM lol

This was done by someone from the dealership with a laptop and uprev software. I honestly don't know a thing about tuning up the car so forgive my ignorance.

Should i go back to him and ask him if he has the original ROM? or is there any other way to revert ECU back to original settings?

I don't like how the car sounds now, i dont know if tune ups change the way car sounds or if it was done incorrectly but my car sounded way too amazing. And since i dont race, at all. I'm not willing to sacrifice the amazingness that makes me love my Z for 10 HP that wont be of any use.

before you got the tune may I ask what mods you had please, someone told me something about K&N Filters that might be giving problems with the tune, due to the oil.

Would not uprev be the best source to answer this question?

Uprev altered the noise level? Weird!

How is it different? Louder? Raspier? Deeper?

Sounds Weaker (not as loud). It sounds like when i bought HKS exhaust and still had stock headers and catalycs.

Test pipes and headers give HKS an INCREDIBLE sound boost and its NOT ricey at all. I have HKS exhaust, non resonated turbo XS test pipes and Stillen headers. Best combination ever!

The ECU was flashed without a dynamometer?

You sure it was Flashed, or did they just bump the timing 2 degrees with Cipher. It's sounding like all the was done was a 2 degrees timing bump.

If the car had been flash you would have Five different tuned map to pick form.

Oh you're probably right, because I didn't get any tuned up maps to pick up from. He changed a few settings, it took less than 10 minutes. If i remember correctly one of the things he changed was idle RPM, but he also changed some other stuff.

Sounds like all he did then was bump the timing 2 degrees and up the idle. You will need to get him to undo the changes. I am not sure if a ECU reset with take care of it. Just in case here is the How to do it.

You should know that altering ECU parameters can be disastrous.

Damn so i have to go back and ask him to undo the changes -_-
So what are the benefits of doing that anyway?

EDIT: I don't know if it was a hack, he was like "the software is free but the cable is like $700"
He even told me i could tune up the car myself if i purchased the cable. Like i said before i know nothing about tuning.

I would question any software that is NOT from a licensed vendor. Recommend that you go to a licensed uperv vendor and have it done properly.
