Hmmm interesting, ive been laggin on getting this done! haha...

wonder why the "crap" HFC's were throwing the code...maybe they cracked? hmm...

Do you think leaving the o2 without a fowler will ruin the sensor with HFCs? I noticed after i bought the car that there is only one fouler instaled on the exhaust the other side has non "/ lol just been to busy to get down there and do it!

Is it only using the steel wool? No soap should be in the wool, right?

I am just cusious......What kind of steel wool you guys are using? Stainless steel wool and normal steel wool are different. The stainless steel wool can't be burn or melt in hot temperture. But not for the normal steel wool. I realize the brillo pad is just a normal steel wool. So it will be melt after certain temperture from the exhaust, right? so you guys are using stainless steel wool or normal steel wool which you put in the 02 sensor? Thanks

i used the brillo or sos steel wool. not the chore boy steal wool. that is way to thick to use. yes using the brillo or sos steel wool will work for about a year as it did with mine and then just restuffed and reset ecu. worked great.

Its a short solution. It gets rid of it for about a year. I am actually fixing to pick some more high flows. Then I will test the peices I have made.

It would be cool if we could cop some catalyst out of an old cat and manage to cut it good enough to slid it in lieu of the brillo crap...I think i have a cat laying around somewhere, but its a spare for my other car...duno if i wana start cutting holes in the catalyst hahaa

Update:

I FINALLY got around to doing the "brillo pad mod" just as explained previously and im about to hit about 400 miles with no CEL.

I really packed them FULL of brillo so i could barely blow through it, this was all after boring out the o2 sensor defouler with a 1/2" bit. then put some more rather till i could barellyyy put the o2 sensor in.

So far so good, but im waiting on kramykram's update for a new possible fix. Im curious to know how long it will be before i pull a code up lol

it will last a while i am sure. i have been wasting money on useless things. big screen tv, got my bumper repainted, bought season passes for six flags for the family, oh and ordered all new spl camber v2 parts for the rear. but going to be hitting up forged in the next month or so for a tune so i will have test pipes on with my fix to see how it works out. i will keep you guys posted.
