1. set a budget
2. start looking at youtube to get a general idea and better yet, attend a local meet to hear them in person

Agree. I recommend that you:

a. Set a budget.
b. Decide what configuration is best for you. Single. Dual. One or two mufflers.
c. Listen before buying.

I ve read that for the z its best to keep the stock headers cause they give optimal HP than aftermarket headers do..has ne one else heard that..

Greddy Evo 2, I had mine up for sale a while ago, but noone shot me a reasonable offer. one of the best sounding exhaust IMO. only way I'd get rid of it is to make me a custom setup.

becomes awfully hard to make a suggestion if your budget is "I'll pay what it takes". Would be alot easier if you define clearly what that means to you. Everyone has a budget...whether it's $500 or $10000, there are exhausts for those amounts and every amount in between

I didn't say to base your decision solely off youtube, but it's certainly alot more reliable than random posts by people you don't know who say "it sounds good" or "it sounds bad". Youtube, coupled with attending a local meet, will allow you to narrow down your choices quickly and efficiently

there is no 'best' exhaust - it is highly subjective, The more details you provide, the better the suggestions will be.
