Default ART Pipes on HR 350Z.

Hi All,
I finally got around to fitting these pipes last week to my '08 HR Z, delay was due to my tuner being so booked up before leaving for his holidays and me trying to find time off work..

Anyway, the ART pipes arrived nicely packaged and even came with a bonus Motordyne cap!

The test was going to be a direct comparison between the stock cats and the HR ART pipes with all other variables constant. The only other power mods i have are a JWT dual intake and a Xforce cat-back exhaust.

To be honest i was mainly after an increase in sound while hopefully avoiding and rasp/drone associated with normal straight test pipes.
I considered any power gain to be a bonus as there wasn't going to be any engine tuning done to maximise gains from the free flowing intake and exhaust mods...

The results were awesome, a nice increase in sound level - just as deep sounding as with the stock cats/xforce cat back combo but without the rasp/drone that normal straight pipes give and a nice 8.4rwkw gain! More noticeable on the street is the mid range torque gain as you can see on the graph:

As they arrived straight out of the box, not pictured are the supplied gaskets and nut/bolts.

Easy fitment, all pipes lined up with catback exhaust so didn't take very long at all.

I might post up some dyno vids soon if they turn out any good....

Also of interest is the weight saving having the ART pipes fitted.

The ART pipes weighed at 3.24kg each.
The stock cats weighed in at 5.01kg each + the support brace at 1.1kg

so total weight saving is a decent 4.64kg.

Any little bit helps
