lol, again most of those are HKS copies. i would probably stay stock instead of getting the megan one. if you want the stock look just get a replacement y pipe and some test pipes and it should give you a little performance and make the sound change a little. that would also be good if you went with a single exhaust in the future since most are y pipe back.

There is no "knockoff of a knockoff" exhaust. Just because a company makes a replica of an authentic exhaust at a later date than the first company to make that replica, it does not make their exhausts replicas of a replica. They're just simply... Replicas.

Op: As for quality-wise, it's a hit or miss. You don't exactly know what the material is and the welding quality until you have the exhaust in hand.

As for Megan Racing... People have said good things about them, but most of them said bad... Again, hit or miss.

Retailers are buying the TP-CBS-NN03-1 HKS knock-off from the same source. Different name, different price, same exhaust.

$460 + free shipping is the best price I can find.

For some reason I really don't like the single exhausts, I like the dual look at the back of the car.

I think the consensus is I shouldn't bother with any of these and I guess I'll do that. Suppose it's better to wait until I am able to buy a proper good one, until then I'll do some cosmetic mods.

So leaving eBay and crappy stuff behind, what are some decent, dual exhausts you guys recommend? Is it better to get a carback exhaust system or a true dual? What exactly is the difference?

I recommend that you:

a. Set a budget.
b. Decide what configuration is best for you. Single. Dual. One or two mufflers.
c. Listen before buying.

ive always been a fan of the motordyne dual exhausts. they have a great sound and performance wise i would bet that they are the best dual exhaust you could get. only thing is that they are a little pricey, but then again most good dual exhausts are.

To each is his own I guess. Personally I like the look of the single exit exhaust with the bumper tuck. I once too thought about getting a true dual exhaust, then I went to my first Formula Drift event and saw every 350z in the competition had a single exit exhaust and they sounded great. I agree with DavidV, Set a budget and listen to before buying.

Don't listen to these guys bashing eBay exhausts.. I know quite a few people with them and the quality is fine, no problems at all.. There's just people here whom are all go hung about buying brand names because we have such a super car anything less is just rice and shameful... For example varrstoens vs volks.. Volk owners are just mad because of the price difference...
Anyways go with what you'd like and can afford.. eBay is fine...

Single exhaust is rice, unless turbo'd

lets not get into this. personally i like varrstoen so im not saying dont get the ebay ones because the must be shitty quality.

im just saying that i have heard that they have really bad fitment issues which require tweaking and repair from the get go. thats kinda sad. ive also heard some of them rust pretty badly, and i wouldnt want to put something on my car that is only going to last a couple years before i have to invest in fixing it or replacing it. im just saying that quality could be better. sure yours and others are ok but there are so many different variations of that same exhaust on ebay now, how do you sift through the shitty ones from the ok ones? that exhaust in my opinion is also pretty out dated and these companies have done nothing to improve it.

if anything there is one company, cant remember the name, but they took that design and added an x pipe and it is suppose to be pretty good. at least look into this one before you make your final decision if this is the rout you want to go.

whu are you replacing your exhaust in the first place??? if your looking for quality and performance then theres no cutting corners just save up the money and buy a decent exhaust...if your looking to replace your exhaust just to have something different then just get a y pipe some test pipes and some tips..you can even polish the whole exhaust...it will sound and look different and your still get a little performance boost...in the end u get what u pay for

I mean it's not like I expect to get any ridiculous hp gains or angrily. Basically i wanted a better sound then whatever performance gains occur on the way. What do you guys think about replacing just the two mufflers? That would deff change the sound right? Would you guys recommend going this way or don't bother?
