I am tempted to say that is a failure or defect of that part. I haven't seen others or read of others having anything like that.

It happens, i had a set of those TP's for over 40k. But if you look around you can find posts about every TP for this car cracking, i'll keep taking my chances with Megan.

Oh ya, my crappy Megan front a arms, 80k on them with plenty of track abuse. They do make some good stuff.

is that the v1 without the flex section? Those were known to crack but there are many people that use the v2 with success. Megan is actually deent stuff these days. Their quality has come a long way.

that defect is the flex section! Truthfully I liked the Idea of the flex sections and thats why i got them.

my exhaust is Magnaflow Ypipe to 3in single straight pipe, its a track only car so no need for any restrictions in the exhaust just a little back pressure, She is a loud dirty track ****!!

Does your magnaflow y pipe have its own flex joints? Also, that test pipe failing like that could also be telling you that your motor mounts are blown.

Yes my y pipe dose have flex pipes and they are fine it was only the drivers side that was bad, my motor mounts are good. I've had bad motor mounts before and how bad I beat the he'll out of my car there is no way I could not notice.

I checked my plugs today my passengers side is running lean conpaired to the drivers and because of this I also have some very slight specs of alum on the plugs indicating I have had some preignition on that side.

I've had 3 parts from Megan over the years and 2 of the three have been a wast of money! The test pipes, and inner and outer tie rods the outers went bad before 10k the inners how ever were still almost new after 40k.

Also I never had a clue that my test pipe was bad. Thank god I decited to take s look at them!

So in my experience 2 out of 3 is a number I'm not willing to accept when it comes tk my car!

Lol it's not pritty! It was a full magaflow 3 in that cuts into a duel and when I wrecked/rolled my z the duel part was destroyed so I just cut at the end of the damage and finished it off with some more 3 in piping.

Trust me it's nothing special!

flex tubes always break.

They are great when you wanting reduce exhaust systems related vibration and clunking. However they break easily, especially when the engine mounts are worn. I have worked on many cars with the flex sections on the verge of breaking.
