Default Berk High Flow Cats...DEAD!!!

Just curious if anyone else have used these with f/i? I recently had to get my car SMOG done and of course aftermarker headers/cat are a no-no in CA luckily i was able to find a way around the vi$ual in$p but i still failed so back under the Z i went to swap out my cats. upon removal and inspection i noticed the passenger cat was completely empty and the driverside cat filiment had collapsed on itself and is creating a blockage. Anyone else experience this?

Even if nobody has experienced this I would still recommend checking or at least being aware.

I had a high flow cat on my car (single exhaust) F/I and was told it would be fine, was even told I could run unleaded 101 octane and be fine.. about 1500 miles later that wasn't the case, it melted half way back ! So no cat for me until inspection time then its back to test pipe.

So this is mainly an F/I problem?

Anyone who's N/A have this issue?

i went thru 3 sets of berk high flow cats with my setup...they are jjjjjuuuunnnkkk...at some point i have no doubt they will fail on u....i finally had to have berk swap me for their test pipes...they had no fix for it and really didnt know what to do besides keep sending me new ones till the 3rd time....they collapsed and blocked flow each time...

i will say the berk customer service was good but the high flows sucked ***** in holding up

when mine failed i hollowed them out for a little while then they cracked because of it after a little time so i dont recommend wasting ur time with that..

berk replaced them for free a few times then we decided to not replace them again and they sent me their test pipes for free which i never had a problem with..

There has been past failures with Berk HFCs. I have a set on my ZR, with approx. 60k miles of use. It may be time to pull them off for an inspection. I do give them credit for good customer service. I am fortunate to live approx. 5 miles from the HQ.

The FI is too intense. I have a Z and an S2000 475rwhp. The boosted cars literally melt the cat filaments. Even on a hardcore Cali, approved, magnaflow, they will burn out.
