Borla with Muffler Delete VIDEO
Alright so there's a lot of users on this forum that complain about their borla and how it's not loud enough so I took it off today and decided to film a video. It's just me revving but you get the basic idea of the sound that is produced.
I'd hate to call it a muffler delete, because most people think "instant rice" but just watch the video and listen. I had an acceleration video but the audio and video are off so I didn't upload it. If you want I can.
Well let me know what you guys think.

A bit too raw for me.
Borla did'nt just throw some pipes together.Their systems usually are engineered to
produce more HP.
Is your selection of a exhaust system just for the sound?Or,the extra ponies it might produce?Possibly you may get LESS performance with deleting the muffler.
You may want to study how&why exhaust systems are designed.

I understand all of the things you stated. I probably should have posted this all in the OP-
I know that exhaust companies put a lot of money into their R&D to get the maximum performance from their exhausts. I know that a lot of people won't like this. However everybody that owns a Z knows that bolt on's don't really do much for our car.
I was just trying to get more sound out of my exhaust. But to be honest with you I didn't feel a difference at all with or without the muffler as far as hp.

bid performance kick...6HP,maybe a bit more torque.Unless you do a bolt-on
"cocktail" of say,CAI,spacer,HFC or test pipes...you would feel an extra kick.
Exhaust systems are designed to scavenge the exhaust.Backpressure is used in the system to do this.
Hey,if it SOUNDS good to you, thats all that counts!

**How is car on LONGER drives? Does the DRONE get to you when cruising?
**What do your neighbors think?..most people don't think about this at first, then have to deal with unhappy neighbors.

Well to be honest with you guys I'll probably end up putting it back on. I took it off to Polish the muffler originally but wanted to test the sound without the muffler. I have a spacer and unorthodox pulleys. But you are right about the exhaust being put together specifically the way it is for a reason. Which is why I'm probably putting it back on and possibly getting test pipes.
I know those questions would be an important factor for any exhuast. However the volume is fine to me, just took some getting used to. There isn't really drone which is surprising. And to answer the neighbors question, there are only about 3 people in my neighborhood and they're relatively cool so no complaints!

Dude, if you like the way it sounds, it's your Z. Do whatever you want. It's just taking out the muffler and it's not like the world is going to start spinning the other direction without it.

I went the other route.. I cut out the resonators and left the muffler. Here is a video adn I will have a better video up soon. But I am still not satisfied to be honest..
