is that with high flow cats or stock cats? why does the header dyno indicate cats and the baseline does not?

Default HORSEPOWER CONSISTENCY RUNS

We ran the 350Z multiple times to make certain the gains are consistent. This is a constant at STILLEN with regards to development of performance products.

Default STILLEN & BORLA SIDE BY SIDE

There was previous mention of the similarity of our [STILLEN] Headers to the Borla units. The image below is a great tool to study the differences that are visibly apparent. Material consistency would have to be experienced. By this I simply mean the thickness and rigidity of the tubing and flanges.

Default CATALYTIC CONVERTER QUESTIONS

The dyno runs on the graphs above are from runs using a bone stock 350Z (track model). As you all know, the track model trim differences do not include engine performance. The catalytic converters were stock and ON the vehicle. The Headers were the only mod on the car.

We are also developing Race Pipes for the 350Z / G35. So, the differentiation was more for internal use than anything. It helps us quickly know which chart we are looking at... header with stock cats or header with racepipes (or NO cats).

Thanks for helping me clear that up.

Cheers!

Any idea if the headers will fit a RHD vehicle. There is an extra market out there, Australia & UK (It's called export $$$$$$$).
ZZZ-35;

We are fond of the Outback but have not fitted these Headers to a Right Hand Drive Motorcar. We have a great Dealer in the UK and might get a chance to fit them that way.

We have shipped a few Superchargers to Australia - perhaps there is an avenue on the 'shaky Islands' to test them with these folks as well?

Default teh215- You are correct!

teh215 - That is absolutely correct. The Borla Headers ARE NOT EQUAL LENGTH. I don't know if they stated them to be or not.

Each tube in the STILLEN Header is 15" Long to the collector.

Thanks for the question!

Those dyno runs look very nice, and the headers look great. Much closer to an equal length design than some of the others out there.

Now, here is my only conern:
Most of the Z dyno's I've seen show the car making more power on successive dyno runs. I notice that your comparison graph is showing the base run 002, but the header run 015 or so. Can you post a comparison from one of the first header runs and one of the later base runs if such a thing exists (just so we all know that you aren't taking the lowest base run and highest header runs for the comparison)?

Thanks,
D'oh!

They do look like they are equal length. Any pics of them looking into the collector. I know that there are issues with the collector on the Borla pipes.

I will try to get that up soon. It takes up the most space and is visually hard to read at web resolution- But you will be able to make out the time stamp for each run and if you squint you will see the subtle variations on the actual graph.

When you get a chance, it would be great to see your testpipes+headers dyno. That would allow us to compare directly to Crawford, since they have not posted a header only chart.

Of course, Crawford was showing about the same games with pipes included...

XEINTH-

As we get closer to releasing the racepipes (test pipes), we'll post those numbers as well.

Cheers!

Can you post a NISMO and Stillen headers comparison pic?

Is this really a dynojet? Wow those are really optimistic baseline HP #'s for many on this board those (baseline numbers) are not even attained WITH MODS..what gives..obviously a gain is a gain but .....................................
