The sensor is connected to the intake tube with 2 screws. Thats it.

make sure not to move the valve around, it will make your car trip out. if this does happen and you notice a high rpm idle then you would need to recalibrate the throttle body, just disconnect your battery and reconnect it should go back to normal

1) no need to remove air box. if you insist, there's a pin on the bottom of the airbox that is plugged into a rubber grommet on the frame supporting it. That's what is stuck. Pull up.

2) disconnect battery.

3) remove MAF sensor and leave airbox alone. Spray carefully, let dry, make sure you reinstall in proper direction.

Good advice but it doesn't apply to cleaning the MAF sensor - as already pointed out you simply unplug/unscrew the sensor. And it is probably best to never move the valve in the TB by hand - that reset is a PITA and often doesn't work without a trip to the dealer.

I suggest you follow the link below and download the appropriate service manual for your 2003 Z. Read the section that applies to what you want to do. Then if you have questions more people will be willing to help.

This link is also located on this forum if you had searched for it.
