What brand of Cold Air Intake should I buy?
I want a cold air intake for my 03 Z but I'm not sure what brand is best. Should I just get a nismo? And also, is there anything that doesn't come with the cold air intake that i need?

its just your preference. don't fall for the 25 +hp crap. just get any intake you seem to like. i like the nismo intake but its just preference just like a exhaust or coil overs. everyone has their own preference or ideas. most people on here like the jwt intake as well. don't buy a brand new one if you want to save money, just hit up the marketplace.

Just a few months ago I picked up an intake for my 03 Z and I was asking myself the same thing, but I actually ended up going with a $50 ebay intake because at the end of the day, its just an aluminum pipe with an air filter.. Mind you I'm content with a short ram, If you wana drop $350 on a nismo intake all the power to ya But thats just my opinion. I'd rather put that extra $300 towards something else.. like wheel spacers or test pipes.
Intakes only add a few HP anyway.. people mostly get them for the sound. And to be completely honest my $50 purchase sounds near identical to the brand name intakes I hear on YouTube.

I have an injen intake. Honestly, if I did it all over, I'd probably use the money I spent on it elsewhere if I had a second go round. However, I will say that I absolutely love how my car sounds, but I have the dual greddy rs exhaust on my car.
But yeah, like others said, the majority of it is based on personal preference, there really isn't a "better" intake.

Has this BEST CAI question been asked before...
YEP!
The comments given have already given you all the info you will need.
Lets review:
=All CAI'S are basically the same
=Cost will vary--50 bucks to 350
=They may sound different
=HP gains advertised are crap
=JWT Popcharger the best for the price/good heat shield(agree-I have one).
=Nismo,well its a Nismo...overpriced.
