Default has anyone run MD ART pipes on a stock exhaust?

?

ive spent an insane amount of time the last few days reading countless threads on everything related to exhaust. the only reoccurring theme ive found is that the MD ART pipes make more HP for the $ than ANY other single bolt on, exhaust related.

so has anyone ran JUST the ART pipes on a stock system? Or maybe JUST ART pipe with XYZ pipes on a stock rear muffler?

what would this sound like? what kind of power would be made?

test pipes on stock exhaust sound fantastic, and the art pipes sound absolutley fantastic for a test pipe, so i would not sweat it a second on going for it.

ive had mine on fore about 2 months , it is raspy but not unbearable it kinda sounds like an e46 m3, the rasp only comes when i go full throttle and the dies at cruising speed . im still debating if i want to do an aftermarket exhaust just to maximize my gains before i get the car tuned.

I am completely pleased. I installed the ART test pipes and the XYZ Y-Pipe with the resonator. I kept the Nismo S-Tune rear section. The quality of the parts is amazing. Made the Nismo Y-Pipe look like it was made by amateurs. Sound is very good and absolutely no rasp. Not even a hint.

If you're interested

With the HFC module on the XYZ, running ART's but the rest of the system is stock; i get a little bit of rasp only when i'm flat down at about 4-5k rpm. Tony at MD has said the resonator solves this, i will test that very shortly when i do the sound recordings.

I guess i'll have a HFC and resonator module for sale soon, once i buy the Shockwave system, i'll have no use for them.

Bingo, you had the xyx pipe with your art pipes with stock exhaust . I have just art pipes on a stock exhaust . The opener wants to know will there be any rasp with the pipes on a stock exhaust and nothing else , even the guy that created the art pipes says there can be some rasp. I'm not making this stuff up art pipes do rasp. just not as bad as other test pipes on the market.

I just read the op post again he did say . the xyz pipe with the art pipes or with just the exhaust . I might get that xyz pipe instead of an after market exhaust to kill the rasp. But truthfully the rasp has kinda grown on me lol
