Manual states 30 seconds idle before moving, not revving the crap out of the car.
Until your engine oil is warmed up, it's not a good idea to do that. It's your oil that protects and the engine needs to finish expanding into tolerances before it is a good idea.
K, thanks. It's not an indy car engine. It will be fine. I don't hardly ever start it and rev it. I understand the principles of engine protection...but I don't drive a ferrari, and it's not a classic that has to warm up to get rid of piston slap due to "tolerances"
Sure, it needs to warm up some. No, I don't agree with cold start revs like a lot of videos show. Yes, I believe a good 40 seconds or so to get the oil circulating is plenty enough to give a few revs and not damage anything
