New Intake Idea?
I was thinking the other day what to do with those yellow markers in the front of my car. Since I didnt have fog lights, I was going to buy the LED bar, kindah like the New Ford Taurus. But then it would probably not look right, so I though about my intake.
See if you can picture it. It would replace the whole marker, and just have a hose up the two vents into the filters. Kind of like the vaccuum peice you use to clean the stairs.... Instead of swapping out everything for a cold air, esentially this would be the cold air no? Since its getting the air directly from the front of the car where those markers would be.
Any help/comments appreciated.

One of the Cobra R's from Ford, I believe in 1995 did this with brake duct cooling. Not really sure what the benefit of it would be for a CAI replacement, but I live in Florida so I don't know much about non-humid, hot air.

What you are invisioning are called long tube intakes by Injen or Stillen! To many bends to get it to the side markers along with not enough space makes it impractical.
I get these kinda crazy ideas all the time.
Some actually work.
Yours IMO,is a waste of time for the results gained.
Even if you could get tubing designed with the bends
to reach the side reflectors, the openings in the OEM
size are too small to do anything. From what I have seen
&read about CAI performance, the filter needs to be as far
from the engine compartment as possible. Not the ducts.
Now if you put on a new bumper,a custom job...had openings
on each side that a filter attached to tubing leading back
to the MAF sits in,you may have something there!

just buy these and you will be happy, better off using those slots for brake ducting

I dont know how I feel with two wholes in my bumper.... I may just skip the CAI idea, and the break cooling will be tricky also since i would need alot of tubing as well to even get to the brakes.
Thanks
