If I would have been home I could have got mine today. I hate it when you have to sign for stuff, does the sender expect you to take a day off work

That guy needs to get rid of his X pipe H pipe **** exhaust and divorced it. Most likely that is what's causing his power drop and surge. The whole idea behind buying headers is that they have bigger primaries and bigger collectors than stock and 2.25" collectors don't cut it. But the primaries at 1.75" is nice but that should also be 1.88".
My setup on my same day test was momentum headers and ART pipes. ART pipes taper also.
I only saw results when I added reducers to my stepped set with the 2.5 collectors.
So your saying we need a y-pipe exhaust to make these truly work? One day if I upgrade to a MD shockwave I will put that to the test.
Anyway who has received their headers?

How do you figure I didn't see a change in power upgrading my piping from 2.38 to 2.5 to match the collectors these were recommendations from PPE to figure out the issue.

^ Would you happen to know why the collector and the subsequent piping cannot be matched in diameter? And please, don't reply with "this happened to me before;" that's not a reason or an explanation to anything.

Well they left another tag on my door, i signed the one from yesterday to leave the park on my door step. Dump mother f-ckers, well easy enough, i will have two signed tags on my door tomorrow if they don't drop them off i'll just take a full refund.

Yes, I want to drive over to MLK to UPS where they have a prison fence and armed guards. Besides , working Monday to Friday from 0630 to 1630 doesn't give me much time. Especially when I have to pick my my little one from daycare after work.

i dunno man, id be terribly shocked if the headers weren't noticeably louder than stock manifolds and test pipes. ive been through this with mustangs for years now. every car i put longtubes on, you could tell had longtubes. the exhaust note is much more throaty. now this engine could very well prove me wrong, but i suspect that they will be at the very least, louder. dB wise, you wont ever know without measuring it. derek didnt do any testing on volume, so until some other folks get these on their car no one else will have anything useful to contribute either. that said, i sure hope mine get here today. the plan is to install them next weekend!

I'll make a before and after video tonight. I have vids with the Gemini before and after with the LTH and my car revving next to a 350z with TPS and my old Gemini exhaust vs my new exhaust.
The car will be louder how much really depends on your exhaust. If you exhaust is already loud with TPs then it will be louder with LTs.
The LTs with the invidia gemini was not that loud, but with my new exhaust it's very loud, but I like it the exhaust note turns heads.
Jake make before/after vids since you have a shockwave.

My thoughts:
1) Primary increase in sound will be from removal of cats, which also occurs with test pipes
2) Stainless steel probably absorbs/shields less sound than the thicker cast-iron stock manifolds
3) Primaries are larger = more sound gets through
4) Primaries are longer and/or merge points are different
I guess I know why it's going to be louder, just afraid it'll be too much louder!
