Might get bashed for this, but hands down one of the best things i've ever done to my Z was remove stock muffler and have an exhaust shop weld in straight pipe to the stock tips. Resonator/cats all in place....just simply eliminated muffler.

Kept same stock tone, simply a little louder/deeper. Zero rasp. Gets compliments all the time and people are always asking what i've done to it with a confused face as you see a stock looking setup. Was cheap too..
