Default new exhaust, need advice

im looking into buying a new catback for my Z, really have my heart set on the ARK, injen ses and motordyne shockwave, i love that hks look, somthing super sexy about it. I also have been really looking into the invidia gemini, but it looks so much like stock and ive heard its really tame sound wise. if im gonna spend 800-1300, i wanna know i got an aftermarcket exhaust. dont get me wrong, i dont want somthing super load and droany, just want a it to be really load on WOT. any advice would be a great help, and yes, ive been threw and read a crapload of other threads and still not sure what to think. really would like to spend less than 1k, but i dont think thats posiable with any of the hks look alikes or motordyne. baller on a budget lmao, so gmini is kinda my top choice at the moment

I really think you would rather have it sound better versus look better.

You can find a good deal on used ones in the marketplace. Everyone has a favorite, out of those I like the motordyne. But my actual favorite is Agency Power single catback.

To make it louder a lot of people use a different y-pipe and this will also help with flow in addition to sound.

Don't go cheap on the exhaust, save for quality and you'll never regret it. If you buy something like the HKS rep you'll be kicking yourself in the a$$ the entire time you own it because that's $$$ down the drain for that POS.

yeah i would never do a "ebay hks rep" the ark and other good companys copys seem to be tip top though. i learned about ebay products long ago when i had my civic coupe. now that i graduated to a grown man whip/ respectable car only going with top quality products.

Stay patient and keep an eye on our used marketplace and wait for an HKS or Motordyne

Nismo + HFC's is a nice combination as well and that will be within your budget

i have the invidia now, and yeah it looks stock but with the ART pipes it sounds pretty good. here is a clip of the ART pipes and Gemini combo when i was getting dyno'd. i just ordered the Motordyne so i will be pulling out the Gemini when it comes in.
