Default Straight Test Pipes Ideas for stock exhaust

Looking for straight test pipes to replace my converter. Just wanting a louder exhaust note mainly. Unfortunately I cant afford to shell out $1500 bucks for a full catback sys. I like Berks so far...thoughts?

I got berks on mine before getting a catback. Honestly it doesn't make it that much louder but you can hear the difference, it will sound a little raspy but eh I liked how it sounded. Hope your OEM cats aren't as much as PITA to remove as mine were.

Love test pipe sounds.. would do mine if it didn't smell so bad and wasn't illegal.

I see you're from Calif? Just be prepared to swap them out come smog time.
I just failed the sniffer with Fast Intentions HFC (same core as Berks..300cell). They will be getting rid if sniffer some time later this year, but you'll fail visual and still may fail the*new* OBD scan. If you want to create a better sound, you can find a nice catback for $900 (Gemini which I have) or get a take off from those on sale here. BTW, car will NOT perform as well in DAILY DRIVING with HFC or TP..I know this for a fact. Low end will be lacking and throttle less responsive. Shifting up with lift throttle is not as smooth either. I found this out recently when I put my cats back in after driving around with HFC for 2 years! I'll never go back. Just my 2 cents.

Test pipes are fine. I run Z1 Test pipes. I also ran V3 ART pipes, but they robbed power on my setup.

Standard test pipes are the best bang for your buck

This. Baught both Z1 intake & test pipes. Did some more research heard many reviews on these and luckily I have a mechanic lined up to help pass smog But I'm curious what needs to be done to get rid of the check engine light?

You should be able to run these: http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...oducts_id=3736

That should keep the engine light off

Test pipes on 350z oem exhaust systems generally sound pretty horrible. You sure you don't want to plan on a seperate catback/muffler setup? Or HFC to help eliminate rasp?

You will not pass Ca smog with TP (or HFC ) if they still use sniffer at that time. Visual on TP will take a very *friendly* tester and they're making the visuals tougher to pass with the new OBD only testing. Good luck...as I said I failed recently with HFC on sniffer alone.
